OASIS OH-1 GUITAR HUMIDIFIER FOR ACOUSTIC GUITARS - SOUNDHOLE For complete confidence that your guitar is getting the humidification it needs in dry seasons without worrying about your humidfier leaking or hurting your instrument, check out the original blue Oasis guitar humidifier. The OH-1 guitar humidifier is a soundhole humidifier designed to maintain 45-55% relative humidity inside the guitar body when the humidity outside the case is between 25-40%, provided that the guitar is already hydrated. The OH-1 is not designed to restore humidity to a dried out guitar. The OH-1 is our most popular model. Each Oasis OH-1 comes with a stabilizer bar for mounting the humidifier and a 10 cc. syringe for distilled water filling control. > Because tap and bottled water have dissolved minerals that can clog the liner, distilled water is recommended to extend the useful life of your humidifier

When used as directed and maintained as directed this is the best and safest in the case guitar humidifier. I have three high-end Collings guitars and use this humidifier on all of them I highly recommend it but like any humidifier that's used inside the sound hole of a guitar care must be given to use it as directed and to maintain it carefully. If it has outlived its useful life discarded and buy a new one I recommend before placing it in The Sound Hole of your guitar that you feel the new humidifier with water place the cap on it and wait 30 to 45 minutes before placing it in your guitar to make sure that they are no leaks in the liner! I've used this particular humidifier for years and it has maintained my guitars in good shape.

凄く気に入っています。楽器店に展示しているギター全てにこの商品が装着されているので販売しているのかどうか店員に尋ねたところ、販売していないとの返答だったのでAmazonで調べて購入しました。手軽に使えてギターの湿度調整に最適です。

I have a bunch of guitars that I usually just leave hanging on the wall but I have one really nice guitar -- a Collings -- that I want to treat well since it's a much larger investment. (That and my luthier lambasts me whenever I bring it in with the fret ends sticking out!) Picked this up to keep the Collings happy and it certainly does the trick. I fill it about once a week. I saw another review where the guy gave it a bad review without even using it because he was afraid it might hurt his precious Martin. I'm here to tell you that there hasn't been a single problem using this in the several months I've used it and it's the next best thing to having a humidity-controlled room for your instruments. I recommend it.

... and they work great. They hold quite a bit of water and seem to dissipate water into my guitar well. I like the fact I can visually see when they are empty and can refill immediately. I found they last a couple of years and check them for leaks before each winter. So far, no issues.

This is the second such system that I have purchased. I own a 140-year-old house in New England, with a steam heat system. Contrary to popular belief, steam heat (radiators) creates an extremely dry atmosphere which, of course, can be very damaging to any kind of wooden, acoustic instrument, and can actually change the tone of that instrument....and not for the better! I first tried one of these, on a friend's recommendation, a few years ago. It worked so well that, when I recently purchased a new acoustic guitar, adding one of these humidifiers was a 'no-brainer!' Very easy to keep filled, and very easy to see when it needs to be filled....and keeps the humidity at a level that makes for a happy instrument!

We moved to WV, where I was surprised to find very low humidity. First I bought the highly recommended Planet Waves Humidipak, but it's too expensive to maintain when the humidity is almost always under 30%, and for extended period of times, in the single digits. Although we have whole house humidifiers, which are integrated into our HVAC systems, I struggle to keep the house up to 35% humidity. I bought the Planet Waves Humidifier, with the sponge, but I had to re-wet the sponge constantly. I have a very accurate hygrometer in my case (+/- 1.5), which showed that the humidity was about 35%, near the sound hole, with the Planet Waves humidifier. I decided to give the Oasis a try. I'm very happy with the performance of the Oasis. The humidity is a consistent 45-46% now. There is no question as to when it needs to be refilled. The unit appears to be of solid construction, so I don't worry about dripsFor the first time while living in WV, I noticed that the guitar is staying precisely in tune, so I guess the guitar is happy too. I have a humicase for solid Koa guitar, but I think the Oasis is a better system. I'm purchasing another for the Koa.

Excellent humidifier, easy to see when it needs refilling. All you need to do is fill the humidifier with distilled water, or purified water. When your humidity is under 25%, you can get the tan oasis + humidifier, for these times, and use it in lieu of this humidifier. This blue oasis humidifier is great when the humidity is between 25%-40%.. Be careful filling the humidifier from the little syringe. This way none of the plastic bubbles will come out. You will not need to refill the plastic lost bubbles, if you are careful. The replacement kit of the water absorbing plastic bubbles.t is not expensive, though. Also be careful to handle the humidifier gently, as to not tear the outside of it and cause leaking. My guitars stay in very nice tune, with these humidifiers. I have been using them for years. These humidifiers work out best for me.

I have a very high-end Martin OM-28 Marquis guitar and I want to make sure there is no cracking in the wood due to very low humidity from the heater constantly going on in the winter. After examining the alternatives in the marketplace, I decided to go with the Oasis OH-1 guitar humidifier. It is easy to use, no leaking, and easy to maintain as I add distilled water to it once a week as recommended using the syringe that is included in the purchase. I also ordered a Caliber IV hygrometer to be placed inside the guitar case to make sure I knew the relative humidity resulting from having the Oasis OH-1 humidifier in the guitar when it was in the case. Best place for your guitar is in the case with the humidifier when the humidity is very low in your room. I am very satisfied with this product.

After losing one guitar due to the wood drying out and starting to split, when my son started playing guitar, the store salesman told us about guitar humidifiers. A little skeptical, I looked into the subject on the web and discoverd a whole new world. All the sites of the guys who hand make guitars talked about the need for maintaining the proper humidity for the preservation of the instrument and some have pretty elaborate systems for doing so. Long story short, this is no gimic to steal your money, it's well worth the investment, especially if you live in a climate that experiences low humidity, like over the winter in New England. Time will be the ultimate test but I'm satisfied with the performance of this product, and the way it's designed there's no way for the water to spill or drip on to the actual instrument. Definitely recommend. (Although I don't stuff mine between the strings like they show in the drawing, I don't like to keep stretching the strings like that. But there's plenty of room beside the strings, and if you're careful, it won't fall into the guitar.)
