About this item

  • Electric relay for controlling electric signals in low current applications
  • Quick-connect terminal for routing current directly through the contacts
  • DPST-NO for simple on/off switching
  • Insulation meets UL Class B for flame resistant materials
  • UL recognized for safety and CSA certified for quality assurance

This Omron G7L-2A-TUB-CB-AC24 general purpose relay has Class B rated insulation material, quick-connect terminal connections, upper-bracket mounting, and is suitable for use in high capacity voltage applications. This relay has double pole single throw normally open (DPST-NO) contacts, an input current rating of 71 mA and a load rating of 220VAC at 25 amp, with an input of 24VAC. This relay has Underwriter's Laboratories (UL) Class B rated insulation material for flame resistance, and quick-connect terminals for routing current directly through the contacts. It is designed to mount to an upper-bracket in an equipment rack. This general purpose relay is suitable for high capacity voltage applications such as fluid pump controls in the water and chemical processing industries.

Relay switches (also called an electrical relay or an electrical relay switch) use a small amount of power to control a larger source of power connected to electrical devices such as car motors, computers, and lighting installations. A basic relay switch has a control circuit with an electromagnetic coil and a load circuit with contacts and a lever. When current flows into the relay switch, it moves through the coil and a magnetic field is created, which causes the lever in the load circuit to move between contacts, either turning the device on or off. In a normally open (NO) relay switch, when power is supplied to the relay, the load circuit is closed and the power source connected to the relay is turned on. In a normally closed (NC) relay switch, when power is supplied to the relay, the load circuit is open and the power source connected to the relay is turned off. In other types of relay switches, non-moving parts such as transistors or semiconductors can be used as the control circuit to operate the switching mechanism. Relay switches can be controlled with an external switch, such as a light switch, or they can be connected to an automatically switched power source, such as a car ignition. One relay can operate multiple switches, and multiple relays can be operated with a single switch, with each relay operating independently from the other relays in the system.

Omron manufactures and distributes electronic components, equipment, and systems for industrial automation. The company, founded in 1933, is headquartered in Kyoto, Japan.

Exactly as described, only I needed 120 volt coil for True Freezer. Will order right one later. It should only be rated 20 A though.Contacts had welded and defrost did not work. Was OEM on True Restaraunt freezer.

Ordered this to replace the water pump relay in our lawn irrigation system. It was an exact replacement for the faulty part. The bad relay would start chattering within a second or two of energizing. This installed quickly with a Philips screw driver and worked perfectly. The relay and the whole box it comes with was available at local hardware supply stores, but they wanted $40 for the whole box and it would have been a lot harder to swap the whole box. It was much easier to just replace the relay itself and it was a lot cheaper. It's working fine now.

This replaces the Omron relay inside my Orbit 57009 pump start relay box. When my Hunter irrigation controller reports a "P-Err" and fails to start the well pump and run the zones, that usually means the pump start relay has failed. Be aware that Omron makes several versions of this relay, and the one I need for my Hunter irrigation system requires a 24VAC coil (not 24VDC coil, or 120VAC coil, or any other type coil). The part numbers for these relays often leave off the last characters (AC24 in this case), making it difficult to know exactly what coil you're getting. The part number stamped on the relay may even leave off those last characters, but the schematic stamped on the relay case does show the coil voltage.Omron G7L series relay part numbers use "2A" to denote double pole single throw normally open, "T" to denote quick connect terminal #250, "UB" to denote upper bracket mount, "J" to denote a mechanical test button, "CB" to denote Class B Insulation, and "AC24" to denote a 24VAC coil. This is an enclosed power relay with surface mount bracket, 6 #250 tabs, 24VAC coil, DPST-NO relay rated for 25 amps at 230 volts load, for 1HP and 2 HP pumps.

I purchased this relay to allow the Cool function of my "smart" thermostat to control my whole house fan (I prefer natural air flow to being cooped up in a closed, air conditioned room). It has solid construction and a compact footprint. The features that I found most appealing were: Compact design, flange mounts, and 1/4" male quick connect terminals. I also needed a device with a 24VAC coil voltage and low operating current, with a 250VAC @ 10A Normally Open (NO) contact. A single pole (contact) would have sufficed for my needs, but this one is a double pole device, so I effectively have a spare contact if needed. Being a UL Recognized product will provide a modicum of comfort knowing the part won't catch on fire (if correctly installed, of course). That stated, after installing the relay and connecting my whole house fan, I now enjoy the comfort of breezy cool summer days and nights.

I used this relay to control a central humidifier. The humidifier had its power source from a 110v outlet but needed it control circuit closed to activate it. This relay allowed me to use the 24VAC humidifier output on the furnace to do this instead of using the pressure switch that came with the humidifier. This AC one worked flawlessly. Remember DC relays don't work with AC. It is pretty heavy duty so it makes a nice click when activated but has no continuous hum or chatter. It has two normally open sets of contacts both controlled by one set of control contacts.
