Onewind Outdoors is a professional outdoor equipment brand. We specialize in designing and creating high-quality and lightweight camping products and outdoor gears to help you create a home wherever you are!

hammock underquilt

During colder weathers, , the outer layer of the underquilt may become wet due to the moisture in the air. The underquilt protector can block this moisture allowing water vapor to condense on the protector's outer surface instead of the underquilt. This will help retain warmth while protecting your underquilt.

This under quilt is great and dies the job. I recently used it on a chilly day and it worked perfectly. It kept my hammock insulated and I wasn’t bothered when it got windy.

It’s a great wind stopper and helps with isolation. If you have an uq it helps to tighten the possible air gaps.I wish it would have loops on the sides however.

Pretty good investment. Does exactly as it describes. Protects your hammock and underquilt from getting wet and dirty. Also keeps the cold wind off of you at night. I went backpacking on april 12th and the temps dropped down to 42°f. Had a makeshift underquilt that wasn't rated for temps lower than 50°f so i threw this over it and it worked great. Did not feel cold at all. Would definitely recommend and buy this product again. It packs down small too. About the size of a handwarmer. It doesn't weight much so it's worth packing

On Cooter Malloy Product Reviews, I did several videos using this while on a hammock trip up in the San Gabriel mountains. To me the biggest reason for buying this was to keep moisture and that morning dew off of my under quilt. As a side bonus, I believe this also adds just a few more degrees in temperature rating to whatever under quilt system you are using with your hammock. It's kind of odd, but I suppose during the summer months, you might be able to get away with using just this under quilt protector, by leaving some let's say 4 to 6 in of air gap underneath your hammock to give you that little bit of wind and Breeze protection should the temperatures dip down at night. I mean this would only be like in an emergency situation, or if you're really packing light. It's still better to use some kind of underquilt regardless. There is a series of straps and connectors, and chords and cables that I still haven't understood why there are so many of. Lol. Each one has its specific purpose, one to adjust how short or long the overall length is, one to adjust how snug or loose the fit is at the ends, and the other one?? Still a mystery to me. Lol.It does pack up really small, and it is really light comparison to some other hammock basic equipment.

Super lightweight, and condenses easily into stuff sac pocket! First tested it in 45 degrees with wind gust of over 30 mph, nothing came thru! The true test came when camped in -9 real feel with 28 mph winds Worked perfect, no air flow came "in" thru the Onewind Premium Hammock Underquilt Protector! (it not only protected the underquilt but added protection from trapped warm air from getting "out!) Total win win!! Plus its long enough to cover hammock end to end - which was a huge benefit, and wide enough to fit a double hammock plus I'm a side sleeper! So impressed, I'm buying another to sew to one long side to bottom protector - to use as a fold over the top, the storage pocket will be on the fold over side, you can store something in it as weight, to keep it from flying back over you in high winds!!!! Plus you can then throw it over your above hammock gear line as a tarp!! One wind should make this option!!! So impressed I already bought one for a friend! Highly suggest adding this item to your hammock camping arsenal! Not just for summer use!! Winter hammock camping is awesome!!

Quality looks good… thin.. lightweight and should contain the heat and stop the damp on these winter nights.. can’t wait to get out and give it a try… soon as I get a chance I will throw it up on our YouTube channel "Mancsgonewild” which should give a bit more of an in depth look at it 😎👊🏻

Really really light, definitely something you can throw in your bag and not notice. Used it with the onewind underquilt at 3 degrees Celsius and was comfortable, it does an admirable job of trapping an air pocket and deflecting the wind. Terrific adjustability, I was able to sinch it down into the perfect position without a problem.

I'd been holding off on getting a UQ protector because of the long list of other gear I'd like to acquire. On a whim I decided to pull the trigger on getting this one after seeing the price. It arrived last week, just a few days before a camping trip on the Washington coast on New Years Eve. Woooooo buddy, I glad I did.Out of all of my hammock camping and backpacking adventures, I'd never had to contend with sideways rain. The evening started off like normal for Washington this time of year, with a light rain. As the evening progressed the wind and rain became intense. Even with my tarp pitched low, when I stuck my hand out of the hammock I could feel rain sweeping through below me. I awoke the next morning to a flooded campsite and with 4" of standing water below my hammock. And yet, my UQ was completely dry! Not only that, but it helped trap more warmth by blocking the wind from cutting through my UQ.There were no instructions included, but it's pretty intuitive to put on and adjust. I'm also surprised at how light it is. I had originally bought this for winter car camping, but it's so small and light I'll now be packing this on every backpacking trip. The protection it provides for my UQ is well worth the tiny amount of grams it will add to my load out.For those wondering if it will fit their hammock, I used this on my Dutchware Chameleon WIDE which is 11' long and 68" wide. My UQ is a HG 20º Incubator. Hope that helps!

I bought two of these for my son and I. I didn’t read as close as I should have. This is not an underquilt, it is an underquilt protector. It will not keep you warm. It does help keep wind out and keep some of the heat inside the hammock, but very little difference with and without. It does make a nice little storage area for empty sleeping bag stuff sacks and the like. It makes getting in and out of the hammock a bit cumbersome at night when you don’t want to turn on a flashlight. But it does do as described if you read the description closer than I did.
