Sticks are fine no glue on nylon tips so half of them had to be re-glued with Elmer's glue pain in the ass

After switching to 2B Promarks in recent years at $15 a pair I decided to search for some no name ones to use just for practice and jamming. After reading reviews on these about the breakage and tips separating I was a bit skeptical, but 12 pairs for $36 I figured if I got one session out of each pair I would still be money ahead. Upon delivery I was pleasantly surprised by the feel and weight of these sticks. They seemed very durable and felt like they would hold up and play nicely. And in fact they did just that. While I did experience a handful of tips breaking or separating, only one stick split out of the whole bunch. The attack and rebound on these things were phenomenal for what I was expecting with a nice heavy feel. The lacquer finish had good grip I was able to get multiple sessions from each set and probably tossed them soon than normal simply because I had many sets. I considered these to be my go to sticks at this point.Onto ordering a second set. The next batch that I got I immediately noticed a considerable difference in both the weight and feel of these. These were much, much lighter (as shown in pics) and even a slight bit shorter (1/4”). Wood felt much softer. Two minutes of play was completely different as well to the point I could not play use them at all. Much prefer the initial heavier sticks that I received. Packaging was different between the two as well. Overall they may be just perfect for another but for my style of playing that extra stick weight is crucial. In the end, these sticks are an amazing deal. I only rated them 3 stars because of the disappointment in the weight and quality of the second set. If I was solely reviewing the first heavier set and received the same the second time, these would be five stars for me all day long.

I play with a country band Clifton Brown and the Rusty Bucket Band. I give out sticks all the time and these play great and are a great value.

My son (14yo) went through all of them in under 3 weeks. His last two sets (different brand) lasted 6mo each.

These are pretty lightweight for hickory and the quality isn't as great as when I bought them many years ago but with 12 sticks for basically the price of a d'Addario 3-pack they're solid as practice sticks or for anyone that is not yet a picky pro player.Yes, I prefer a name-brand custom select hickory for feel and durability but why should anyone pay $10/pair if they aren't getting paid regularly for their performances? Drums are one of the most expensive instruments for maintenance and this is a great way to keep costs down.

This is a tale of two players. My brother and I share drumming duties and sticks (most of the time).I play semi hard but pretty loud rock music and I love these sticks, simply because they last forever for me. The nylon tip does sound much brighter than wood, which I don't prefer, but they do not chip, which drives me crazy about wood. However they OFTEN will fall off. So, I simply keep glue next to the kit and once a tip pops, just glue it on and it will not come back off. This package will last a non basher player a very long time.My brother hates these sticks. He plays like Animal from The Muppets and breaks at least two every time he practices. If you play like Keith Moon, this package will last you a few weeks.

My students tried to convince me that they "couldn't" memorize the Gettysburg Address. Ha! I told them that most of the "music" and "songs" they listen to and recite endlessly have a lot more words than the Address. I typed out the Address in short lines, called it "The G.A. Rap," and ordered the drumsticks to get their attention and stimulate project completion. We're also building practice pads so that tabletop drumming won't drive us all mad. Good cross-curricular unit combining history, reading music, art, paying attention, following directions, language arts, etc. Online videos of three-year-olds playing full drum sets are providing an interesting challenge for my secondary students! My kids who complete the entire project get to keep their drumsticks and practice pads. The sticks work well and are uniform. They're a good weight for budding percussionists. Great product!

I purchased these drumsticks for my 4 year son and they are the worst sticks I've purchased. They break very easily. The first day he started using them the tip flew right off, then it broke in half. I will never get this brand again and would not recommend this to anyone. I have to go and purchase better quality sticks for him because this was just terrible.

My wife had gotten me some sticks & they were nice, so nice in fact they disappeared!!! They were a little lighter & weaker than these sticks, which have a great sound and seem more durable. Out of all the sticks my wife bought me the only pair that weren't stolen got broken by some kid my son said knew how to play. Well he did not and will be the last person to ever sit on my drum stool again live and learn. So out of a bad situation came these wonderfully strong not to heavy sticks that sound awesome. I am a beginner at the drums and these sticks are really nice. My friend is in a band and a excellent drummer and he told me I did quite well choosing these sticks. They are strong and hold up well when you hit harder for the dynamics & changes needed when playing. They also hold up well when you are incorporating rim shots in your playing they are a good all purpose stick!
