Install the new battery
1.Turn off the laptop and unplug the power cord.
2. Remove the old battery, pay attention to unscrew the screws of the battery before removing, and keep each screw carefully.
3.Install the new battery on the notebook, tighten the screws, and connect the wiring of the new battery.

Maintain
1.Activate the battery: Discharge a new battery to 5% usage (not 0%), then charge to 95% for 3-5 cycles. So that it can be activated completely.
2.Overuse: Don't always drain the battery to 0%, it will damage or shorten the lifespan.
3.Charging sequence: when charging, first install the battery, then turn on the power, when fully charged, first cut off the power, then pull the power plug.
4.Long-term storage:Please store the unused battery fully charged.Charge it once a month, a low charge will shorten battery life.

My computer wouldn't boot and I was so confused. At that point, it had been less than 6 months since I swapped the battery. I thought it was the hard drive because it didn't occur to me the battery had already failed. After some more diagnostic work, I took off the battery, left the laptop on AC power only. Yup, turned on just fine.

It was an exact fit. However, the battery life is barely 3 hours. I am not happy that and nee battery had such a short charge before I needed to plug it in. I have had this battery for 6 months now

This laptop battery was inexpensive and very easy to install. Unscrew the old battery from the bottom of the Toshiba laptop then screw on new battery took maybe 5 mins at the most. 10 year old Laptop is operating like new no issues at all. Definitely recommend this product.
