I do quite a lot of driving at night in the country and this light is a life saver. Very bright and has strong magnets for holding it in place, while you use the remote to get the light aimed exactly where you need it. It is powered by a 12V cig ligter adapter which is not a deal breaker, but my work truck where I use this only has 1 cig lighter in the whole truck so I can't just leave it plugged in as I need that for charging other items also.I will probably end up doubg a permanent mount and wiring to a rocker switch on my truck later anyways. The remote feature is pretty cool, but it took me a few tries even with the instructions to get it synced up.I would love to see this get some upgrades such as usb power and having the cord come straight out of the bottom, in case you do want a permanent mount and just drill a hole for the power cord to drop in.Still it's cool and I like it a lot.

Very bright illumination, and the remote control makes it easy to adjust both vertically and horizontally. Easy instillation using the cigarette lighter and attachment via magnets. Good quality— looks and functions as described.

My 83 year old brother in Girdwood Alaska loves this bright light with the strong magnets and remote control. But, he lost the tiny remote and there doesn't seem to be an option to buy just that part.In the winter they have a lot of darkness in the far North, headlights at noon time for instance. This spotlight makes the side of the road where animals come out into the roadway, much safer.Note that some states will have laws against remote spotlights because a few idiots thought it was funny to blast on coming cars with bright spotlights.

I originally got this for myself when it popped up on my Vine but, once it got here, I knew my man would get a lot more use out of it than I probably will now. (I thought I could put this on my car, use the remote to turn on the light, and then run the dog out so we're not venturing out there in the dark, nor would I have to put on a headlamp, but we lost him unexpectedly on Thanksgiving - 2 days after I ordered this - so my main use for it is null. I also don't think it would work if the car isn't running, so that was just a flawed thought all the way around.)We live in a dark, rural area and this will still get used a lot. My man is a contractor so even just for use loading/unloading his truck in the winter, it'll be useful where there aren't lights. The cord was an ok length for my car (Subaru Impreza) depending on where I wanted it to be, but it's a bit of a struggle for the F150. The cord is the only issue with this, in my opinion. It needs to be longer. I don't think a rechargeable version would have as much power, I really liked that this was "wired," but it's flawed. (And if it *were* rechargeable, my original idea for the dog would have worked.) I do realize a longer cord would be more in the way, but it would also have more leeway to tuck it away somewhere.I was able to purchase this at a steep discount but, due to the cord, I don't think it's worth the price tag it was (115.99).

I drive at night all the time and have to look for addresses and watch for deer in the mountain passes. This is a life saver! I love how bright it is and that I can turn it wherever I need it with the remote control. The remote takes a 9v battery, which is a little weird when they could easily just do a rechargeable battery with a USB-C connector. Well, that'd be easier, but it really does work well. I can keep it in my back seat until I'm in a place where I need it and I put it on top of my car and then turn it on with the remote and it works really well. I've never tried it at 70MPH+ but it stays on nicely going 50MPH with just the magnets. It has screws and screw holes to make it a more permanent fixture. The light plugs into your cigarette lighter so I do have the cable going through my door or window while it's on the roof.

If you drive in the country at night, these short, winter days can make reading signs or addresses difficult. This is a perfect solution to that issue, but I am sure there are dozens of other uses for this light.I'm not sure what the range is, but illuminating anything within the range of reading (mostly addresses for me) is easy for it. I'm sure spotting cattle for ranchers or similar tasks are also well within it's capability. You can bolt this to your vehicle if needed, but the magnets work well enough for country road at night driving. Since its remote control I mount it on the passenger side hood and run the cord through the window to the lighter. This isn't optimal, and a rechargeable battery would make a lot of sense, but it beats having the cord run over my lap to the outlet. While not perfect, it sure beats leaning out the window with a flashlight. At $116 it's a lot more than a flashlight too, but it makes spotting nighttime signage so much easier, I'm willing to accept that cost as worth it. I'm sure you'll be happy with this, despite it's need for a rechargeable version.
