I can only say that they were packaged well and they look good in the jar. I have not fished with them yet

These bait work if you catch on your first cast. If not the bait just dissolves so fast.

I took my grand sons fishing the other day and made an interesting discovery. We were fishing for whatever in the neighborhood pond. Hoping for a bass or cat, but happy with a bluegill or crappie. I ran out of bait, because the crappie were frisky and it is a catch and release pond.I got out these Salmon Eggs and the bluegills and crappie loved them, and even the bass wanted some. Who knew??

I tried out a jar of Pautzke Bait Roe on stocked trout at some of my local lakes and ponds, without a whole lot of success. I'm not sure if this comes down to the product, the way I was presenting it (though I tried a few different approaches) or if Australian trout are simply uninterested in salmon eggs. I probably wouldn't buy it again, as Powerbait works much better at my local lakes and ponds, though I would be interested to try it out somewhere where there is a healthy population of wild trout or salmon.

Got one trout in the middle of summer when trouts are not biting due to hot weather.Only gripe is I wish it will stay on the hook a little better and does not crumble after a few cast.

I really like these for my purpose of tying up in spawn bags! They are really durable and last a lot longer than uncured or other cured eggs. They have the same round shape as an egg should have (unlike some cured eggs). I can tie them up in smaller bags because of their durability and not having to worry that they will pop and go flat after just a couple casts!I primarily use them when I don't have eggs from a previous fish caught sitting around in my freezer. And now after using them I might just continue to use these more often than eggs that I've cured from previous fish caught! They work really well and still have the egg juice in the middle. So if you are fishing in a spawn bag and feel they're not milking enough, just puncture one of the eggs in the sack with a hook or needle or something and keep casting away and you'll have your milking result!!I would highly recommend these eggs!
