My old EZ Bowmaker broke on me and I have been hemming and hawing about replacing it. I can make bows perfectly well without it but MAN does it make them easier when I have the extra hand of the bowmaker to hold my bows as they come together. This one is super compact compared to my old one and I LOVE that. I don't really need the larger board to measure out my ribbon so the smaller bowmaker works great for me. If you are looking to try your hand at making your own bows you will not be sorry for getting this tool.

Overall I am okay with this now maker. The very basic instructions included in the package state that this bow maker can make up to 6” bows. Which isn’t surprise since the bow maker holes/spaces are 6” apart. There are plenty of configurations that will really allow you to create almost any small to medium size bow desired.The reason for the 3 stars is that one of the dowels included doesn’t fit in the holes. I will take sandpaper to the dowel so it fits, but not what you should need to do with a new item. The dowel felt different than the others in weight and diameter, so it is likely a quality control issue.
