After ordering three thermostats from other sellers that did not function, we finally got this genuine Pentair part that did. Two of the three other sellers made no claim that the part sold was Pentair but one did. None of them were Pentair and none of the thermostats would open under temperatures of 120-200 degrees. I wish I did not waste my time on inferior products. Sometimes generic parts are okay, but not in this circumstance. This Pentair thermostat opened and closed quickly. It functioned well after installation.

This thermostat is a pentair brand not an as aftermarket part which was surprisingly good news for the price.

Have a Pentair Mastertemp 400 pool heater, was making a loud rattling, tapping sound when heating. Replacing thermal regulator was easy and quick, fixed the problem. Great product, east replacement, saved lots of $$ on pool repair call.
