fits perfect and now I sleep better. I turn the heat on then get ready for bed and it's just the right temp to crawl into.

I first ordered this heated mattress pad in 2013. It worked perfect until recently. I ordered the exact same one again as pictured on Amazon. I was surprised when it arrived because it is completely different. The original control was well designed and easy to use. The new control is poorly designed and difficult to use.It has two push buttons flush with the surface. You cannot see then at night. You have to kind of grope around and press to see if anything happens. It has five heat levels. There is a very bright LED for each level. It is difficult to sleep the LED is so bright. If you are on level 4 and want to go to level 3 you must cycle all the way around to level 5, 1, 2, and 3. There is no way to back it up. I am very unhappy with the new control. I am returning the pad.

I have a small ranch house in Colorado. Where despite global warming it can still get a little nippy during the winter months (understatement). And being on my own for several years now, I've acquired the habit of leaving the thermostat set low (47°F) all year round for various reasons (not the least of which is my firm belief that it's healthier to acclimatize oneself—within reason of course), so this Perfect Fit SoftHeat pad has been a worthwhile investment for which I have absolutely no regrets at all about buying. Furthermore, I've rarely had to turn it past the lowest setting (LO) on my memory foam mattress, but occasionally, on the coldest nights have gone up to the next heat level (1), which seems to be plenty toasty for me.Before writing this review I checked to see if this product was even still available as so many products come & go it seems, and was a bit surprised to see so many negative reviews because I've used mine nearly every night for two winters in a row now, and have experienced absolutely no problems with it whatsoever!I just checked all the connections, and they all look fine. No discoloration or anything of the sort. Actually, I have another one of these pads (same brand) which I purchased almost a decade ago (now in a guest bedroom), and which still works perfectly. Although I can fully sympathize with those having had bad luck with this pad, this has not in fact been my personal experience with it. Hence I'm not at all uncomfortable giving it a five-star review here. (I'm glad I own two of these—winter is coming again all too soon.)

I didn't even think I'd want to have a heated matress cover but my wife insisted and, boy, was she right! It's been awesome to slip into a warmed up bed each night. Only minor complaint is I can feel the power plug with my feet at times as I am very tall

Works like a charm, Heats the bed in about 30 minutes and I can’t feel the wires when I sleep. I have also purchased one for the guest bed.

They are right when they say you will be surprised by the heat that this low voltage mattress top gives off. You won't know it at first, because as warned it does not feel warm to the touch but a half hour later, if you set it at high as suggested, you will be much too warm to stand it! It really is amazing. In fact, however, I found it much much too warm to tolerate even at the lowest setting. In the end, I decided to go with just the thick padding and forgo the heating element. I did not enjoy the heat coming from beneath me, which was not was easily adjustable as throwing off the covers. I developed a headache from the heat and found I disliked the experience. But they are correct when they say that you will be toasty warm within minutes and that you will NOT need a lot of covers on top of you when using this mattress pad. If you prefer a light covering in the cold seasons and enjoy warmth emanating from the bed beneath you, as opposed to an electric blanket for instance, this may be for you. It surely works every bit as well as they promise it will! One small flaw i noted was that the very first time I put the mattress pad on my mattress my fingers, with short nails, put "runs" into the fabric on three of the four corners. Making the stretchy corners of a material this "cheap" was not necessary and bodes ill for how long the contour corners will last. That was my main reason for giving this pad a 4 star rating and not a 5 star rating.

This is amazing. I live in an older home that is very hard to heat during the winter without having outrageous energy bills so I typically block off the areas of the house other than the living room and kitchen. Night time temps in the bedroom can be down as low as 45 degrees but crawling into bed when this has been preheating and feeling the warmth is pure heaven. I have diabetes and have problems with my feet being cold, even on warm days... this helps to keep my feet warm during the night. If you tend to be cold at night this is the answer to your prayers.*** UPDATE *** Feb 2 2015After owning this for a few months and buying one for my mother I feel I need to address a few things. My mom lives on the east coast and has always been cold-blooded. I ordered one for her knowing how well they heat. However when she received it she had a problem with getting it to heat. The light on the controller would come on but the unit would not get hot. I contacted Amazon and they sent a replacement. The replacement unit did not work. So after another very long phone call with Amazon they sent out a third unit. Well I guess the ole "Third time is a charm" held true. It has been working great and she absolutely loves it.The other thing I would like to address is the amount of negative reviews about this product. I am not affiliated with this company in any way but just feel there is a lot of negative comments that I can't see how they come to those conclusions. The pad not fitting? Mine fits perfect, with or without a 2 inch piece of memory foam. The heated pad was so soft that I ended up removing my memory foam pad. Once person said the paid is slippery and the sheets come off. Have not had a single issue with even one corner coming off. Fit is tight and perfect. Humming transformers? Nope not a peep out of mine. No pre-heat? Duh turn it on high then turn it down lower when you get in bed ... it's PRE heated. Shutting off before morning? Never for me, get in bed around 11pm and if I don't remember to turn it off it's still on til 9am the next morning. Too hot or too cold? I think the range is great, higher settings like 8 - High are very warm but great for heating your bed up fast. 15 mins and it's taken off the chill then you can turn it down. I find that even on really cold nights (15 degrees) I can leave it on the 3 setting and it will be nice and comfortable. Since I live alone and the house temperature doesn't impact anyone else I now turn my furnace completely off in the evening before bed and just stay nice and snug on the heated pad. I'm sure shutting the furnace off has saved me much more than the pad has cost in electricity usage. When I woke up this morning it was 42 degrees in my bedroom and I slept great. I always have liked a cold bedroom but a warm bed. This is the ideal solution for me.TO sum up, this pad at this price is probably the best purchases I have made on Amazon. Period. If it died today even though I've only owned it a few months I would feel it was well worth the price/comfort and would happily buy another in an instant. Don't let any of the negative reviews sway your decision. How's it go? You can please some of the people some of the time but not all of the people all of the time?
