Disappointing since rubber tip will only hold a very small pill reliably & not bigger pills prescribed by vet.

My car likes to eat mice. With that, her gets worms. This pill popper is perfect for giving him his meds while keeping fingers away from teeth.

My cat bites really hard when I try to use my fingers to give her pills. This saved me from having to use more bandages. My only critique is the device is a bit long so it was hard to get my fingers to reach the end and not pop out the pill early by accident.

Don’t be fooled. While these look just like the pharmaceutical-branded pill poppers sold by your vet’s office, they are significantly lower quality and harder to use. It takes a considerable amount of force to stop the pill from getting stuck in the opening. Cat moms like myself know how quick you must be when dispensing pills to cats, and the success rate of these is horrible.

I searched awhile to find a pill giver for my cats. I took a chance on this one because of the low rating, and am so glad I did! I've been giving my cats pills for several years by hand. This makes it unbelievably easy and less traumatizing to me and the cats. Frankly stumped why so much bad feedback. Makes little sense to me. Thank you!

Just as described. The tip on this pill popper was a different color (I couldn’t care less, but it seems important to some folks, so I thought I’d let you know), but it’s soft & pliable. I had no trouble fitting a “normal” sized round pill for my cat. I also had the opportunity to test it out with a remarkably small half pill that did stay inside the rubber gasket while I wrangled my cat’s mouth open. Full disclosure: I’m pretty sure I managed to avoid testing the strength of gasket v. gravity while wrestling Alfred J Kittyworth into submission by holding the doodad upright as we flailed about the kitchen. Nonetheless, the minuscule pill stayed put until I finally managed to push the plunger. Thankfully, Kittyworth is toothless, or I might currently be fingerless. Takeaway: pill popper is worth the moola. Best of luck getting your cat to stay still while you (gently) jam it into their mouth.

It's a serviceable piller, and gets the job done for what you need it to do. But it has a few drawbacks:1. Whatever "genius" engineer designed this piller felt compelled to make the entire popper circular all the way around. So be prepared to have the popper constantly roll off the counter and drop your medication. Very aggravating.2. The rubber top may eventually get sticky and difficult to clean. I get the impression it may be a sign of bacterial cultures taking over, and so the lifespan may depend on maintenance (which isn't 100% clear).

I purchased this product about a year ago when my male cat started exhibiting aggressive behavior towards our younger, smaller female cat. She started to spray because she was very stressed out by him which made him extremely angry. I have always been afraid to give him pills because of his giant saber tooth tiger teeth! Although he’s my sweet boy, he is very scary when he feels threatened. My doctor prescribed the medication and although I had the pills on hand, I was too afraid to give to him. Once I found out that I could have the meds compounded and just rub his ear, I decided to go that route. I paid $115 vs $32 for compounded form, MAJOR OOF. After a year of doing this, there was no change in his behavior! I researched and learned that compounded meds don’t work quite the same as the actual pill. I decided to finally bite the bullet and opened the package of Pet Pillers that I ordered last year. All I can say is OMG WHY DID I WAIT SO LONG?!!! This product is so easy to use and is not stressful on me or my boy! I watched videos on how to use it which were helpful, but not for me. The way I do it is I get on the floor with him and as I’m petting him, I straddle him and at that point I am able to pull his head back very gently and just pop the pill to the back of his mouth and he swallows it! I am truly amazed and so very thankful for this product. It’s very upsetting to think that I spent over $1000 on medication that should’ve only cost roughly $380 over the course of a year! The best part is I already see a huge difference in his behavior! These Pet Pillers are well made, very inexpensive and they work!
