This was a really cool gift from my wife and I really looked forward to making some cool guitar picks with it. Sadly it lasted exactly ONE pick before it broke. That is correct, ONE pick and then it totally blew apart. What makes it even worse is it was a gift so it was outside the 30 day return before I even got it, so there was not even an option to contact the seller to see if a return of some sort was even possible. So if you are gonna buy it or gift it, make sure it is within the 30 day return window when it is used.Edit: I was able to contact customer support and they promptly sent me a new one even though it was out of the 30 day return window. I have used it multiple times and it is working perfectly. Thank you people from Pick-A-Palooza...

This is a really cool tool no denying. I bought one for my son for Christmas but when my husband saw it he got so jealous I had to order one for him. Comes with some plastic so you can start right away but my husband has a lots of ideas and I know my son will too. I expect to find plastic with guitar pick shapes cut out of it pretty much everywhere after Christmas LOL. Totally gift double item cut through most things so your guitarist can make the guitar pick of their dreams. So very glad I found this!

I ordered this pick punch largely just out of curiosity. What I received greatly exceeded my expectations. This punch arrives nicely boxed along with the pick pouch and some sample cards to punch picks from. The punch itself feels hefty, sturdy, and very well-made. The bottom of the punch has a rubber cover that can be easily removed and replaced, and there is a pick-shaped hole in the rubber base so you can see exactly how your punch is lined up with the card you are using, making it easy to capture a particular design on the pick. I used it to punch out a couple of picks from an expired credit card, and it worked great. There was very minimal roughness on the edges that was easily smoothed off with a nail file. The punched pick works out every bit as well as any store bought pick I've used. I will never throw away expired debit and credit cards again.If you play guitar with a pick, you will get a lot of use and have a lot of fun with this gadget. Highly recommended.

Credit cards, phone cards and gift cards are typically .75mm thick. The plastic strips that come with this unit are between .7 and .73mm. My ideal (acoustic) guitar pick is a Dunop Tortex .55mm. For $25 I can buy about 150 guitar picks. My problem is that the nicest picks seem to have legs: 'Hey man, you got one of those nice picks I could use?" "Sure. Here's a new variety. Try this one." So, my thought is to create hundreds of cheap picks and make a point of leaving them laying around everywhere for everybody else to steal. LOL Except for guitar weinies like me, very few can tell the difference between a .55 and a .70 guitar pick anyway.This punch is very well built. . .and you can feel it. Other punches will certainly do the job but I know this one will last a long time. The picks WILL require some sanding. And, I don't think there's a pick punch out there that doesn't leave rough edges.I'd like to see a variety of these plastic strips offered in various thicknesses.Just for grins I cut some picks out of that clear clam-shell packing stuff we see on calculators, fishing reels, capos, etc. That stuff is about .41mm and the punch does work on that material but there's a bit more edging/sanding required. That said, .41 mmm is not a bad strumming pick for a guitar or autoharp.

I received the pick-a-palooza guitar pick punch before the estimated arrival date. It works very well; it has easily punched through everything I wanted to use for pick material. You can easily see exactly what you are punching out through the punch hole in the bottom. It comes with good quality material/strips with which to begin making picks, as well as a nice, leather, pick-holding keychain. The strips are nice and thick and make cool picks, and the keychain will easily hold 5-6 picks.I also purchased additional pick-a-palooza guitar pick pack custom strips, which comes with a nice variety of colors. All of the strips are great colors/designs and good quality as well.I must say that I also received excellent customer services from Equipt4! I had noticed a $3 savings offer for the purchase of the pick-a-palooza guitar pick punch and the custom strips. Upon checking out, I completely forgot to enter the necessary code to get $3 off. When I received a friendly follow-up e-mail from Equipt4, I replied regarding my satisfaction with the product and happened to mention that I had forgotten to enter the necessary code for the savings. Within 24 hrs, I received another e-mail from Amazon and Equipt4 stating that I had a $3 refund.I am very pleased with the pick-a-palooza products and the customer services. I would highly recommend both.
