This is an unpowered clip-on condenser microphone. It has a hard-wired cable that is a bit on the thin side, but it works well enough. Since it is unpowered, the signal is relatively low. It works well enough for tuning, but needs quite a bit of gain to be used as a microphone. The sound quality is not incredible then, either, but it might be enough to be used to trigger something else. I had hoped that it might work for amplifying a cajon or hand drum, but it is not particularly great sounding for that.
