I gave it 3 stars. It did not tenderize the steak well sliced the steak thin, ran it from the front 3 x and ran it upside down3x. It was somewhat tender but still chewy. It cleaned with soapy water very well.

Works great except on chicken. If the pieces of meat are small and/or strangely, the meat will often times get hung in the tenderizer.

All metal internal components with a plastic snap on cover. I was concerned that this non-Kitchenaide branded meat cuber would be delicate. I was concerned about gears stripping.I used this device one time with mom to make Country-Fried-Steak. The cuber worked perfectly with no issues. This unit is easy to clean as well.I bought one for myself after seeing the quality of this product

Saves money and makes every piece of meat tender no more paying extra for cubed steak also works great with pork, chicken is a little messy but I still use it, so worth the money

this thing is scary, and it should be. it's very heavy duty, and if you accidentally get a finger in it, your probably going to lose a hand. the rollers are solid metal and very sharp. I've made several schnitzel and breaded tenderloins. it's nice to buy a pork loin for a couple of dollars per pound and be able to diversify the recipes that can be made from a single chunk of meat.it will only work up to about 3/4" thickness of meat, then it starts to just smear it. this can be overcome by prescoring the meat on both sides, just a light cut every 3/8-1/2" at 90° on opposite sides. I only just figured this out, so I don't know how thick of a piece you can manipulate it to be able to take, but 1.5" is probably max. don't force it, and keep one hand on the power.

This meat tenderizer fit and works great on our KitchenAid. Don't try running chicken breast through it unless it is slightly frozen or it will just shred and grind up the breast. The all metal construction seem to be pretty robust and it is easy to clean.
