One has already broken, but it's gotten a lot of use. I use it unnecessarily in class to point to things within easy reach, and it's possible I've been a bit too enthusiastic a few times. My students think it's hilarious, though. I gave one to each of my kids as well. And I ordered another pack to give away to my students because they loved them so much. The colors are really fun, and I suppose if you actually wanted to use these seriously, they would be useful for pointing to things out of reach on, say, a large map or whiteboard.
