Very heavy duty and it can take a hit (tested in Moab and it shrugged off a major knock). Fit is excellent.

Installed these on both my front and rear axles. They are very heavy duty and can take a beating on the rocks. RTV and new bolts are included which makes installation very easy.

I like the design and the strength of these diff covers. They are a solid value for the money and I think they look great too. I put them on the front and rear of my Rubicon. They do lack a place to reinstall the brackets to hold the connections for the lockers, but I made due. The installation was simple. I made sure to wire brush the mating surface, and follow the instructions on using the provided silicon and torque specs. I did not use the new plugs they provided due to them not having a magnet, and my old ones did, and they threaded right in. I have had no issues with leaking and they seem like they are ready for some abuse. They are way stronger than stock.

Bought this to replace factory rotten DANA 44 diff cover on 2010 JK, and this thing is the equivalent of gluing a cinder block to your rear end. Not only is it a nice, black powder-coated finish, but the beefiness of the cover will keep that stinky liquid in place.Comes with RTV, but went with LubeLocker instead--no leaks. A little pipe dope on the fill hole nixes any chances on seepage.Going to pick up the DANA 30 version for the front soon.

Just installed both the rear & front D44 diff covers on my Jeep after peeling back the stock covers on my shakedown run with a new modifications. The covers are of good quality & seem like they can take a beating. Both covers don’t cover the housing all the way.... for the rear, this is great because it further reduces the chances of peeling back the cover. However, in the front, this leaves the housing open to potentially snagging on rocks (see pic). Damage to the housing may not impact the ability for the cover to seal the diff but the gap feels a little too much. I’ve had the ARB covers on before & did not have this worry. The other thing I’m not too pleased about is how exposed the bottom few bolts are. It feels like over time those bolts will take hits & get damaged. Was hoping the bolts were somehow better protected.Four stars just after the install, I will update after wheel with these & seeing how they perform. Wheeling in the NE requires good underbody protection, based on the many positive reviews, I’m hoping these do great.Update - after 3 wheeling trips:The covers themselves can take a beating but the bolts are too exposed. See the last two photos, the bottom bolts of the front diff cover that were exposed have been shaved by the rocks.

I bought 2 of these for my rubicon's dana 44 differentials and installed them over the weekend. They were very easy to install, and having never done it before, I took my time and both took me about an hour each. That includes draining the diffs, scraping off the old gaskets, installing the diff covers and lube lockers (which I also highly recommend), all 10 bolts in each, torquing them down to 30 ft lb each, and filling the diffs. Did it in the garage with a regular rachet/socket, torque wrench, and used an air impact to remove the bolts. Another thing I really liked about the Poison Spider covers was that they came with Grade 8 hardware. My buddy's more expensive ARB's came with something less and he busted a bolt in the case on install. All in all it was one of the easiest things I've done to the Jeep, and I highly recommend these covers. I like that the edges of the covers don't go completely to the edge of the housing. This way you can't peel them back like the stock covers if you get hung up on rocks. Not that I'd worry too much about that with these heavy duty covers, but it does give additional peace of mind.

What else can I say about Poison Spyder other than the fact that i love there products. I've built multiple rigs now on our YouTube Channel (Jeep Noob) and every build includes their products. Now if they would only sponsor us. lolBut seriously this is an extremely heavy duty dif cover and we started purchasing them even before they started offering a powder coating option for them. This only makes it better. While we always custom paint them anyways its really nice to have a base coat on them. In this case we did a basic red addition so it was nice that it was already black. The instal is extremely easy and most of the torque specs are in the 25-30 LBS range. Knock on wood but we have never ran into any issues with them and they fit perfectly. They are also cut just slightly higher than the dif itself so that it doesn't have the opportunity to get hung up on rocks. Not that I would worry about that anyways if it did.If you want something to protect your rig then spend a little money on something besides colored neon lights and pick these up. You can bash them to hell and you'll continue to keep running while looking like a badass.
