We actually use these for our catio when it's a warm day. The cats love them and just sit next them to stay cool. They take up a lot space in the freezer but we live them so much, we are thinking of getting another freezer. They last a long time - I've had some probably 5 years - once the outside has any damage I replace them.

These Re-Freez-R-Brix are great. They freeze up quickly (overnight would be good) and they last a long time in the coolers. And the best part, no melting ice water to deal with.

Good stable product. They freeze well and stay cold. If they remain durable, I’ll give them 5 stars. Good size too.

I sent a critical package through FedEx from Texas to Australia. When I dropped the package off it was 105° in Texas!! It was expected to be a 4 day journey and I was so nervous about it since I was shipping medication to my son. FedEx indeed took 4 days to deliver it and it was STILL cold! This is an amazing product! I'll definitely buy this again!

First introduced to these when I received one of these brix with an online shipped food order. Did such an amazing job at maintaining freezing temperatures that I sought out more of the product. Soooo glad I did - they came in VERY useful when my refrigerator failed recently and I was forced to put everything into coolers for over a week. Even with frequent opening of the coolers, these brix stayed frozen and kept things cold. By comparison with several other refrigerator packs in use at the same time, they did the best job over the ten days. The 9x4" size of the brix are good size, very solid and not floppy even when not frozen. They are easy to fit in large coolers. Almost any freezer pack can work for a few hours but these brix easily held up for 18-20 hours and were still really cold and quick to refreeze. The brix easily stay frozen for 2-3 days when the coolers weren't opened frequently and searched through.

I put two of the bricks in a 1.5 x 1.5 x 2.5 foot cooler on a 10 hour road trip in July in the South. They arrived still cold and partially frozen. My mom took them out of the cooler and placed them on the kitchen table at about 6 p.m. The next morning, she noticed that, the side touching the table was still quite cold. For comparison, I put several of those frozen plastic blocks filled with the blue liquid in a different, smaller cooler and those were all melted after the trip and not as cold as the bricks. Not the most ideal to use for shipping things you are trying to keep cold, only because they are heavy. But they should do the job for short shipping times.

Let me start out by saying I've owned a lot of these . It's because they work - they keep food and whatever else you need to keep cold , cold for a long , long time! My only gripe with these is that they tear , and I think pretty easily - while I've had some that have never torn - I've had some that tore after a week of normal use . I'd say over the years I've had these 50 percent of them tear in a relatively quick time period. For that I had to take off a star ( although when I catch the rip - I usually cover it with gaffers tape or packing tape and continue to use even though they say not to )
