I really feel like this should last longer than 4 months since the original lasted 13 years. Tried to return and get new and it says not eligible for return.

Almost the easiest repair in my life. The pool company told me that I needed to replace my entire heater and they would send me a salesperson to give me a quote. This took all of 10 minutes. I replaced this and the board. No need to spend $2k on a new heater.

This is well made. Poor design, but well made. Plan on replacing both the board and the keypad. On mine, a pin corroded off the board and was stuck in the connector to the panel; no way of removing. Would buy again.

I recently fixed our broken Hayward Pool (H400FDN) heater. It had been down for about two years. I had been putting it off since the pool doesn’t get used much and felt no need to pay a few hundred dollars getting it fix. Then my BIL’s friend (electrician) came by and checked it. Found out key pad needed replacement. I purchased the key pad. It was very inexpensive compared to the quote from the local pool service. It was an easy fix, remove, plug and play type. Looks great and works great.
