Mound seems well thought out and will work just fine, unfortunately mine just showed up slightly broken. Shouldn’t be hard for me to fix, and need to use it so not requesting a return. Still get 4 stars for the design. Hopefully the quality lasts.

These pitching mounds are EXACTLY what i was hoping / looking for. Great value comparable to others. Easy additional assembly. Literally all you have to do is screw in the pitchers plate and twist 2 eye clips in place. Easy storage & light enough to transfer / transport in and out of your vehicle without any issues.I may purchase 2 more lol

This portable mound is a cool design. Great for storing in the garage and practice pitching in the yard. Could easily be brought to a field and used to warm pitchers up, etc, as well. The construction, however, is where it fell short. Upon arrival, I had to add screws to several spots where the plywood side pieces were not actually secured. During initial construction, the screws missed their spot and shredded up the plywood. So not only were the pieces not attached, the material is also compromised. After some work of my own, it's good enough, but I suspect I will have to continually patch this thing up going forward.Last nit - the "rubber" itself is not rubber. It's just a piece of 1x4 that is screwed to the top. If you look really hard at the pictures you can see that, but it isn't obvious. I ordered an actual rubber mound and will attempt to replace it.

5 min set up or less. Packs up nicely. Used it a few times and does the job for my 11 year old. Didn't want to spend a whole lot on a fancier mound, and this one does what it's needed to do. Super portable and easy to tote around.

My son is 9U and I picked this mound specifically because it has the skinny landing area. He was dropping his lead foot (left) too far to the left on delivery and this forced him to drop is foot towards the catcher.Ok build quality. The rubber is a piece of wood. My biggest issue is the surface. It can get a little slippery. The other issue is that many young pitchers will become fearful of landing off of the skinny landing area and falling...this can alter their delivery quite a bit.I've moved on and purchased a much better full sized portable mound. For our first mound, this wasn't too bad.

The design forces your” pitcher to be “ to step toward the catchers glove and avoid “opening up “ the left foot (RHP) !!

I coach Little League kid pitch 9-10 year olds and was looking for a way to have my team (who are all learning to pitch) practice pitching off a mound, as many of our practice fields don't have pitching mounds. After reading a few reviews, I took a gamble on buying the 6 inch travel mound. It is spectacular... a great mound, in that it is very sturdy enough to be used by both kids and adults (in a coaching capacity), durable, and very portable. My son uses it in the yard everyday and then I fold it up and take it to each practice. It is a well designed, high quality, handmade, very solid wooden product. I wish they had varnished the wood to weatherproof it more, but that was easily fixed with a few extra dollars spent on varnish and 15 mins of work on my part. All in all, a very solid 5 stars for ingenuity and craftsmanship.

Very well made and easy to assemble and disassemble. Have taken my son to the diamond everyday to practice his pitching since we got this. Seems like it will hold up well. I treated the wood to help with longevity!
