Les mâchoires sont biens fait et solides. Le coffre de rangement est bien aussi. Par contre les filets entre la tige filetée et le bloc centre sont pas assez ajustés. Cela crée une fragilité.

Picked this up to pull a bearing and it lasted all of 20 seconds. I didn’t hit half the tools capacity before the steel broke.

I chose this puller set for two reasons: 1. made in Taiwan, not China, 2. two arm sets with one threaded yoke assembly. Out of the packaging, the plastic case looks nice. Opening the case, the arms, elbows, bolts, yoke and threaded driver are organized, use instruction cards are part of the case. The arms and elbows are nicely finished. Here, it ends. Firstly, the hardware - the bolts, ARE NOT SHOULDER BOLTS, AS CLEARLY STATED in the product description. They are regular grade 5, 1/4" x 20 bolts, partially threaded. AND, they are too short. When assembled, the elbows and the arms ride on the threads of the bolts. BAD! Nuts are plain hex. If too tight, the arms & elbows bind. Loose enough to use and the nuts are loose enough to back off during use! These should be locking (Nyloc) nuts. With a true shoulder bolt they'd be OK as they'd snug against a flat face extending just past the arm or elbow edge. Next, the arms of the yoke are not faced flat and parallel. When assembled as loosely a I'd dare to use, the yoke/elbow joints still bind. This is POOR, POOR, POOR. Lastly, there is no centering cone end for the threaded shaft. For use on a shaft with a champhered and threaded hole (i.e. most crankshafts) I will have to drill a centering hole in a hex head bolt and thread it in. Otherwise, the puller screw will wander or/and damage the face of the shaft from which I'm pulling something (i.e. cam drive gear). For something boxed up to look pretty, at heart, this is just cheap-o stuff. Yes, it will likely work as a puller. For me to keep it requires I have the yoke machined and find 6 real and proper length shoulder bolts with appropriate nuts. Estimated cost about $50. I am returning this set and looking for something else.

Could be better quality, but you get what you pay for.

Great kit for amateur mechanic. Definitely not a top of the line kit, but parts are solid, and the case is well designed and laid out. The center rod isn't overly "hard" so after some use the centering point has flattened, but for the price I can't complain at all. It'll pull pullies, ball joints, etc!

Great looking and too much for me! I discovered that the same kit was available for loan from ADVANCE AUTO PARTS, which solved my problem.
