I used to have to attach my dog's leash to my waist by having to use a regular belt. I am so glad that someone came up with this system. My dog is not the type of dog that pulls, so I don't have to have my hands on the leash all of the time and I can simply walk and swing my arms normally. It makes for a more comfortable walk for both you and your dog. Also, if you are out jogging it is so much better and more natural to swing your arms normally without having to hold a lease in your hands. For those people that like to use their phones to check social media or text they can easily do that with this hands free system. It is super sturdy.I have bought many leashes in the past and this one is very strong, so you don't have to worry about it failing. The fit of the belt is just right since you can adjust it quite a bit. Both my wife and I love this especially because my wife found a way to attach separate carabiners to be able to add a second and even a third leash to the system. The leash itself has a bungee system that stretches comfortably in case your dog decides to try to go a different route than the one intended. This stretch bungee system reminds me of another leash that my wife and I have purchased before that can be used to secure the dog while riding inside the car. It works really well for making the whole dog walking experience a pleasant one. Overall it is a very lightweight and easy to use system that works. I highly recommend it.

For reference - I have a 100+ LB Great Pyrenees named Charlie who is only 15 months old and still basically a gigantic puppy.I have never owned a waist dog leash. I am EXTREMELY happy with this waist leah. First, it has a circular shape so Charlie was able to run around me without choking my midsection. It was very comfortable with the back pad too and only once when he got the zoomies did I feel like it was tugging too hard, but Charlie is also 100+ pounds, so only getting tugged once was awesome,. It was several "Extras" that I was so happy with - a pull handle in the middle, various caribiners, a seatbelt attachment for your car, etc. It was a good quality and Charlie got used to it very fast and learned how far he could go safely and it was easy for me to control him when he was walking/running too fast. Overall, I am so happy with this product, I would give it 10 stars if I could.

While it is stated that the leash is suitable for a 125lb dog, the collar is only about 10 inches in diameter and much too small for my 90lb dog. The lumbar belt is poor quality, doesn't stay in place, and twists while walking. The leash attachments slide around on the lumbar belt and cause fatigue through the pulling and change in direction. The leash itself is less than 6ft long. I was very disappointed with this product and have processed my return.

My husband tried on this waist leash band for walking our dog and for the most part he likes it. His main complaint is that the bungee leash is rather short, but that does help keep it off the ground. A second point (but not a huge issue) is that there is only one loop with a carabiner on one side. I had to thread it through the band to the other side which is the side our dog prefers to walk on. Other than those two points, this is a decent waist leash. My husband suggested that this would be a great tool for someone who wants to go on a run with their dog.
