Finally I have found a set of strings that sound great on my fiddle, and actually seem to make it much easier to play as well!I needed a low tension string due to arthritis so I ordered these Prim "Softs". wow so glad I did.. easy on the finger joints and despite being steel, they are way darker sounding than any synthetic I have ever tried.I was worried the "softs" would be weak sounding but that is not the case at all... the volume is slightly lower i would say, but not radically so... in fact I think this is a good thing, as my fiddle is super loud.I play American southern old time fiddle style and these work great for that... I would think they would be good for Celtic and bluegrass as well.
