Using strikes like these help eliminate rattling of doors when loose fitting latch engagements are present. Can be used on both residential and commercial frames such as Roberts Redi-Frame and Timely metal frames. All the necessary mounting hardware is included for a quick and easy installation.

It's a neat idea, but only ideal for lighter interior doors. The adjustment mechanism won't stand up/withstand the forces typically found on exterior doors.

Worked great. Very simple to install.Just a little larger then the one being replaced, which was good. Because the screw holes were stripped out. I just had to chisel out a small portion of the mortise and pre-drill and it fit like a glove. I did notice one plate didn't fit flush at first. But I turned it over and it fit perfect.

The 2 small mounting bars have poor manufacturing tolerances that will cause problems for you. They are so wide they interfere with the strike plate. They are also not flat and do not sit flush with the strike plate. Their width could have easily been controlled by making them narrower. All of this leads to a big issue. What isn't told to you before you buy it, you will need to re-mortise your door because this assembly is thicker than your original strike plate. Although they suggest 3/16" is the proper thickness you may need more to make up for the crooked mounting of the 2 mounting bars. And expect them not to be flush and look a mess. And hopefully not get snagged or harmed by it.

Replaced door weatherstrip and these are great for adjusting door properly to new weatherstrip. Requires a little putty once done, but well worth it. Doors now seal like new.

If you are looking for a solution to make your door close more tightly, this strike plate will not solve that issue. The “tightest”adjustment of the strike plate puts the door latch farther out than a standard plate. You also have to cut a deeper mortise in the jam to accept this product meaning you cannot simply go back to the old strike.

So simple to get just the right pressure on the weather stripping of your door when it’s closed. I highly recommend these for exterior doors.

The notches to help hold it as adjustable are barely even dimpled in and they do not hold and add any type of friction to it. So disappointed.Also note keep in mind dimensions as this is maybe made for more commercial doors as it was way larger than for my residential door.
