I liked the thickness of it because I was putting it on concrete floor. After you put it down you can hear it when you step on the floor, but in time it settles in and you hear nothing, great product, and for the money you can't beat it

I was skeptical of this but it is amazing & my flooring was really soft when walking on it because of this underlayment! Dont regret it at all!!
