I keep these in a few of the trauma kits we have. The scalpels are extremely sharp. I like that they are disposable. Open up the sterile package, use it and toss when complete.

I've started dermaplaning at home. I got tired of paying my aesthetician my hard-earned money for doing what is basically an easy task (at least on my face -- I don't have any significant issues to work around). It took a little while to get the hang of it, but the handle and blade have a decent weight to them, and I just had to focus on the angle. I don't feel like it gets that layer of skin off as well as a professional job, but it does get all the vellus hair. I have light light light vellus hair with only a couple of stronger hairs on my lip. This gets rid of them all. The only difference is it doesn't seem to take that extra layer of skin off my face, so I don't feel like my "canvas" is as blank as it could be. Overall, though, definitely nice to save a lot of money!

I like the individual packaging. The blades are sharp and the quality seems to be comparable to similar mid-level medical brands.

The scalpels come individually foil sealed and have plastic handles with measurements on them. There are individually wrapped replacement blades as well. The quality of all items is excellent. The items are marked sterilized. The blades are carbon steel. The scalpels come with plastic blade covers as well. You get 10 scalpels with the blades along with 100 replacement blades, making these an exceptional value.

These are great quality scalpels that also came with 10 plastic disposable handles with blades already attached. These are perfect for not pricking or stabbing into something that you did not intend to and much nicer to slice cut and not puncture through. every single blade and scalpel is individually wrapped and sanitized and is surgical safe. perfect quality cutting blades.

Great blades that are individually sealed and according to the box, sterile. I'm testing that now on a random sample and will update the review if I find anything that contradicts that. They are a little smaller than a standard X-acto blade but with a rounded tip and a cutting edge that is approx. 2 cm.Are they useful? Absolutely... I've found all sorts of things I can use these for. For one, the are excellent at opening Amazon boxes. I dabble in amateur chemistry and they work great for cutting, dividing, scooping or even scraping samples. Can you use them for cutting actual skin and its assortment of maladies that arise? Yes, of course (they are supposed to be sterile but still, follow all precautions when doing anything that can expose your body to pathogens or worse). So why the 3 stars? Its kind of hard to tell from the pictures but the included handles are very cheap injection molded plastic, despite the box claiming "carbon steel scalpels" . So two stars off for the blatant misinformation. That was one of the reasons I ordered this set...But, even so, the handles do work surprising well for what they are. But if you don't have a handle, I would suggest getting one... For these or any other bladed you buy.The blades themselves? Absolutely no problem with them at this point. We'll see about sterility in a couple of days.Oh, the picture show 2 plastic handles... Mine cam with 10

I’ve been dermaplaning myself at home for a few years now. It costs so much to get it done by an aesthetician. Close to $100 is what a professional will charge for this which is INSANE when you can do it at home. Obviously, you should take precautions just like anything else when taking it into your own hands but come on, it’s not that difficult. For years, I’d been purchasing another brand that offered the sterile, individually wrapped scalpels but I would pay $7 for a box of 10!!! So then this brand reveals itself & I am just blown away!!!! 100 scalpel blades at this low of a price point!? YES PLEASE & THANK YOU FOREVER & ALWAYS!!!! Meaning, y’all now have my heart & I’ll never use another!!! Very sharp, high quality!!!!Update : I feel like I’m eating my words at this point because I thought these were sharp & great quality however after I derma-planed last night I noticed that the vellus hair was still very much there & that these scalpels had not worked well. To say I’m disappointed is a bit of an understatement considering just how excited I was to find these. When I wrote my above review I had full intentions of only using this brand but now I’m afraid that I’m back to searching for something that is affordable but doesn’t compromise on quality. It seemed sharp when I first opened one for my review but it must not be that sharp if it’s not tackling vellus hair.

I use these for hobby work, so I can't speak to whether they meet the specifications of a #3 scalpel handle or #10R blades. But they work a treat if you need something razor sharp when cutting, forming, shaping, etc.The Good: * Very, very, *very* sharp. Which makes sense since they are scalpel blades * Each component (handles and blades) are all individually packaged, so you don't have a bunch of loose handles or worse, extremely sharp blades just...out * They are sterile, if that's important to you * Fantastic price for the quantity ($24.99 at time of review). The handles alone are a great deal! The Meh: * Nothing related to the product at all. The only call out I have is that many other kits come with a disposal box of some kind. These blades are *SHARP*, so ensure you have a way to dispose of them safely. An empty milk jug or even water bottle is great (the jug is bigger and less likely to fall over). Keep a lid on it, stay safe. The Bad: * Nothing at all.The Verdict:5-star recommendation. Seriously, if you use or need scalpel blades, this is a no-brainer. I literally cannot recommend these highly enough.
