Using it for bodywork, works well and has pretty good speed settings. Only complaint would be the vacuum hose that it comes with is pretty well junk.

This is a pretty good sander for the $130ish price. It ain't no Festool but it is surprisingly good. After several hours of continuous use I am impressed at how smooth and easy to handle it is. My only complaint is the dust collection. The dust port is an odd size and it isn't very effective. You won't be choking in a dust cloud but it does leave a good amount of dust on the workpiece. If that is a deal breaker then you better just spend the big money on a 3M or Bosch. For the savings I will keep this one and do my sanding outside.

I obtained this in search of a better finishing sander. This appears to be of good quality construction, with a motor that is nice and powerful without being too noisy. It comes with vacuum adapters that appear to be somewhat odd sized, since they do not fit my standard 2.5 inch shop vacuum nor any of the various adapters I already have for it. It does fit my small DeWalt 6-gallon dust separator, so that is probably what I will have to use it with. This random orbital sander comes with both 5 and 6 inch backing pads. For the vacuuming functionality to be effective, sanding discs with compatible hole patterns are needed, or mesh sanding discs can also be used. For the 6-inch pad, the 15 and 17 hole sanding discs (like what it came with) appear to be the best option for the dust collection capability, with 6 and 8 hole sanding discs possibly also working, but less effectively. For the 5-inch pad, the only hole pattern that appears to be compatible are the 5-hole discs. It does come with some 44-hole 5-inch sanding discs, but it seemed to be very odd in that they arrived somewhat messy, with oil or grease around the holes. I was not able to find any other source for 5-inch 44-hole discs, but 5-inch mesh sanding discs should also be able to be used with this.My testing consisted of sanding the surface of a rough sawn board with the supplied 6-inch 60 grit sanding disc. I was able to remove most of the rough surface in about 3-4 minutes of sanding, with some deep grooves still remaining. My regular disc sander would have chewed away the surface in half the time or less, so I would consider this orbital sander to be more of a finishing sander, even with an aggressive grit sanding disc.Overall, I am pleased with this orbital sanders construction and performance, and it will make a great addition to my power tool collection. I would have liked more compatibility for the dust collection connectivity and 5-inch sanding disc options, but otherwise this is a great kit.

It does what it is intended to do. I planned to use it on my car, but in the meantime, I used it to prepare the walls before painting a room with a very bad and old paint job; orange peel and paint drops ran everywhere. After I patched the holes and cracks in the walls, I used this orbital sander with a shop vacuum attached to smooth out the walls. This orbital sander is better than other regular sanders because it won't overheat and clog the sandpaper, and it won't make swirls or scratches as it is spinning excentrically. Also, it prevents applying too much pressure on the tool, as it will stop altogether, which helps with overheating and again, clogging the sandpaper. The attachments provided are various sizes, so I was able to find one that fits the shop vacuum. It is an excellent tool, and I can't wait to use it on my car headlights.I highly recommend it for its functionality, price, quality, variable speeds, accessories, and the set of sandpapers included.

I have used it for a couple hours now so I can’t speak for long term but it seems good so far. Feels nice in your hand. You can change speeds which is nice and when powered off you can’t accidentally hit the switch. I am happy with it. The only cheap feeling feature is the dust extraction. The hose is super soft and the fitting is flimsy but otherwise I think it’s worth buying

This works well other than the dust tube. The dust tube is kind of flimsy.

I own a wood company and we have the best senders like mirka etc. I wanted to try this one and I ordered it. I was really blown away with the high quality build , low noise. I am excited to try it tomorrow.
