I refill my small propane bottles for my golf cart heater using my 20 lb bottle. But, when the 20 lb bottle is cold, I can't get enough propane into my smaller bottles for the golf cart. This worked perfectly. I actually weighed the bottle after filling and it was heavier than a new bottle of propane. So, I'm very satisfied.

The straps used for securing a tight fit around a 30lb propane tank in 20 below weather are useless. They should have used another strip of Velcro.

Within 3 minutes it was 105 and it retained the temp. The 20lb tank was warm to the touch. Works great! Don’t be afraid of the bad Reviews, they don’t know how this works. They Velcro and straps work fine. But honestly you don’t need the Velcro. Just use the straps.

Product is nicely made looks heavy duty definitely has enough heating pads in it only complaint like most have complained about it’s a little bit loose and strapping devices could be better but nothing to not be able to work around I would buy it again

Like many others have mentioned, the Velcro on this product is pretty much useless. I used it on a 20lb tank, and the overlap goes well beyond the vertical Velcro range. They should have designed it with horizontal Velcro, but that's a minor issue. The straps, however, compensate for this flaw. You can achieve a snug fit using the straps, so the product's functionality isn't compromised. I haven't tested it in a real situation yet, but I did plug it in and monitored the temperature with an IR thermometer. The four sections of the blanket quickly reached 90°F. Even the more expensive blankets have similar complaints about poor fit, so I opted for this one to save money. For my needs, it seems like it will work just fine.

First the Velcro is not usefull where it located. The straps are so close to the edge that they are very difficult, and slip off very easily. The heat part works great to -15 Celsius. After that it does not make enough heat. At -30, it doesn’t work at all. With all propane tanks from 20 pound to 40 pound being the same diameter, I don’t know how the Velcro is so far off. I would not buy again.

I found the Velcro to be useless on a 20 gallon propane tank since the opposing sides of the Velcro miss each other by about 6 inches.I also had some difficulty strapping the heating blanket to a 20 gallon propane tank because the straps land just at the upper and lower curves of the tank and tend to slide off (it would be nice if there were loops attached to the blanket to contain the straps). Probably OK on 30 and 40 gallon tanks since the straps wouldn't land on the upper or lower curves of the tank.As far as tank temp goes: I have a Weber Q300 grill (27,700 BTUS per hour). The day was not particularly windy. I used a digital cooking thermometer with a remote probe to measure the temp between the tank and the blanket while the blanket was plugged in. The outside temp (and the tank temp) was 35F (35 degrees Fahrenheit). After an hour the measured tank temp was 57F. One and a quarter hours later themeasured tank temp was 69F. Three and a quarter hours later the outside temp was 36F and the measured tank temp was 84. At this point I started the grill on high and in thirty minutes the tank temp had dropped to 78F. The tank temp was still at 78F fifteen minutes later. At this point I turned the gril off and unplugged the heating blanket. My next test will be when it is closer to zero out and hopefully with some wind....

Does not fit the gas cylinders as depicted in the ad. It's several inches too long so it overlaps itself too far rendering the velcro strip useless, this makes it awkward to install. I have 20, 30 and 40 pound tanks and they all have the same circumference of 39 inches. This is made for something larger. The cinch straps must be used to secure it to the tank. The ad also states that it has adjustable temperate control, this is not true. There is no adjustment of any kind it is simply on as soon as its plugged in. It does heat the tank to a noticeable degree which helps keep the pressure up on cold nights. If it was sized correctly it would be a winner. Would I buy it again? No. Would I recommend it? No.
