Mower Pulleys
Spindle Pulleys
Typically located on the mower deck of a lawn mower and is directly connected to the spindle shaft that rotates the cutting blades. Its primary function is to transfer power from the mower's engine via a belt to drive the cutting blades. Idler Pulleys
An Idler pulley has a groove or profiled surface that matches the shape of the belt it's meant to guide. It's commonly used with V-belts or other belts that have a specific cross-sectional shape. Standard idler pulleys are designed to maintain proper tension and alignment for belts with a corresponding profile, ensuring smooth operation and efficient power transmission.
Flat Idler Pulleys
Has a flat surface without any grooves or profiles. These pulleys are used with flat belts or serpentine belts that do not have a V-shaped cross-section. Flat idler pulleys provide support and tension to the belt without altering its shape, guiding it along a straight path or around pulley systems where no V-shaped groove is necessary.
