Do not like PRS cases. I purchased a PRS SE Custom 24. The gig bag that came with it has a loose piece of foam in it that keeps the guitar secure which I hate. I just purchased this PRS hard shell case and it does not close all the way without pushing down hard on the neck. I hate this case. I purchased a Fender Professional II Telecaster which came with a case and fits perfectly.

Excellent craftsmanship but I still think Fender Hard Cases are better because these PRS hard cases are WAYYY too heavy!

FIts PRS SE Custom 24-08 perfectly. Weight of guitar and case together is 21.6 pounds. The case is extremely sturdy, which is exactly what I wanted.Edited to add: Subsequent to the above review, I have been asked by an Amazon customer if this guitar case would correctly fit a left-handed SE Custom 24. I answered "No." The detent/form into which one places their SE Custom 24 guitar body is shaped to fit the asymmetric shape of a right-handed SE Custom 24 guitar, but not a left-handed SE Custom 24 guitar. After all, the left-handed guitar is the "mirror image" of a right-handed guitar, so it would need the "mirror image" of the right-handed detent/form in order to fit properly. If this is an issue for you, then I would suggest you try contacting PRS directly to find out what to do for your left-handed SE Custom 24 guitar. Perhaps they also make this case for left-handed guitars by inverting the detent/form prior to assembly.

I have three of these now. Very good custom cases. The thing I would say is that clearly, they are overpriced.

It is a bit noticeably heavier than your typical guitar case, not enough to turn me off though. Tolex is perfect, interior is perfect. Latches feel a bit on the cheap side. The fit for my CE-24 was satisfactory: as people have noted, there APPEARS to be a 1 to 1.5 inch gap where the upper neck rests in the case. However, the case seems to have been designed for the CE-24 neck to favor just one side of the neck support within the case. Any shock to the guitar would be absorbed at this point on the neck. This is satisfactory in my opinion.

Everything you would want from a high end guitar case.To Note: Yes there is an extra thickness to he padding under the body, close to where the neck meets, which makes the guitar neck sit up a little bit when case is open. This is undoubtedly on purpose IMO so that the guitar is nestled tightly in all that fuzzy goodness when the case is closed. They knew what they were doing when they designed this and very likely exactly as intended.

First off this is a solid case (and heavy). Seems well built, plush, and looks nice. That said it does not properly fit an PRS S2 Custom 24. The neck doesn't lay flush with the cutout so no support. The angle that it rest makes the headstock sit higher than the bottom half of the case. So when you close the case it will push down on the headstock which raises the body. I don't find it ideal to put unnecessary pressure on the headstock and neck during storage. It's probably due to the extra padding where the upper half of the body rest.I still give it 4 stars due to the quality, yet given the situation I can't rate it's durability.
