I bought it to test and learn from.Out of the box it had some problems. The horn rang like a bell and the frequency response curve was a roller coaster ride. There was also a distorted buzz around 670Hz, like there was something lose inside. I tested with white noise, sweep tones, and various songs. The frequency response rolls off above 2.5KHz. As it was it was probably ok for public address but I decided to make some improvements. The inner tube coming out of the compression driver looked to be a hand rolled and loosely crimped tin sheet tube press fit to the driver with a masking tape gasket. I soldered the crimp and sprayed the outside of it with evaporative cooler tar for resonance dampening and glued it back in place with silicone. I also sprayed the outside of the reflex tube with the tar coating and reassembled the whole unit. I also slit a rubber tube to fit around the rim of the horn for further resonance dampening. The compression driver itself didn't seem to have any problems so I left it alone. After my modifications the sound improved noticeably. The buzzing stopped and the frequency response was smoother. I think it is just too large to reproduce treble frequencies accurately so it might pair well with a smaller horn like the PHSP5.I will definitely be making use of this come Halloween.Pros:-Not too expensive for a giant PA horn-Better-than-expected low frequency response. Pretty good to 300Hz and audible to 150.-Works for high voltage audio distribution or direct connection to a home or car audio amp on the 16 ohm setting-Works well enough with a little tinkering-LOUD! Will rattle cabinet doors and picture frames with midrange frequencies-Two of these on an ice cream truck would be the best thing everCons:-Might need a little tinkering to improve the sound and this probably voids the warranty (I'm sure it does)-You should probably use this as a mid-range with a crossover and leave the higher frequencies to a smaller horn-The aluminum bell is only attached with three screws and it may eventually break off after flexing in high wind-It's not on your ice cream truck yet.

Within one day after contacting Amazon, UPS was at my door and took the horn back . I'm glad I didn't throw the box away.Thank you Amazon for doing the right thing. From, "NOT" Let Down Anymore.............
