The length of the wires are good. But the wire for the ignition coil has the wrong connector for a 1998. I will have to use my old one for now.

I have. 1996 mercruiser thunderbolt 5.7 V8. The length is exactly right.Unfortunately they don’t stay connected. Some time pop off the distributor on their own. They make the “click” then slide right off. I noticed that some of them were not properly aligned in the sleeve. Maybe I got a defective batch?

Initial impression is they are identical to the original Mercruiser plug wire set which is what I expect from Quicksilver component(s).
