I bought bare root Strawberries from reputable, on line Nurseries last year. To my surprise these Strawberry Bare roots were large and healthy and they gave me more than 25. Excellent.

These plants were NOT the Quinalt variety as advertised. Quinalt Strawberries were developed here in the Pacific Northwest at the University of Washington and do very well in our cool Pacific Northwest climate. These plants all survived planting them in September and continued to grow until the first frost. However, all but 2 of the 25 died over the winter. The remaining two plants were slow to start up this spring and have not flowered as of June. I have grown Quinalt berries before and they thrive in our climate and start bearing fruit in early June. These plants are not behaving like a Quinalt Strawberry.

This is the third year I've grown these (I add new ones every year). I set up a passive watering system (from a rain barrel) and water each plant three times a day. After doing this the yield was fantastic. This year, I had an issue with USPS delivering the rootstock on time. It sat in my local post office for three weeks before arrival. The plants looked pretty sorry—I don't know if those will make it. I ordered another set because I thought Amazon was refunding the first order (they didn't). The second order arrived in a timely manner, and all of the root stock plants have started (zero have died). So, if delivered on time, these plants are great. I love this variety of strawberries. They had fruit last year from July through October. They are also very good tasting. Late in the year, we had trouble with yellow jackets, but the birds left them alone (because we put out rocks painted red early in the year). This year we will put up yellowjacket traps.

I wasn’t expecting great results from ordering through the mail, especially with bare roots. I’m quite pleased! I planted 4 weeks ago and every single root has become fully established. This includes the two extra. Thank you so much. I will be doing more business here.

We received these Quinalt Everbearing Strawberry 25 Bare Root Plants on 9/21/2023. We ordered 25 plants we received 27 & we planted them outside 9/21/2023. It looked like 2 of them were NOT going to make it but everyone of them made it. They have been planted 12 days today, almost everyone of them have berries on them. I am so shocked at how wonderful they are doing, I cannot tell you how happy we r with them. We live in southern Florida. I was really skeptical when I saw them but as you can see they are very healthy. Thank YOU for the wonderful plants we received.

I was skeptical ordering plants on Amazon, especially bare root plants. Its not uncommon to find a package of dry, dusty, petrified roots instead of a viable plant. I was a little disappointed in the shipping time, but I think I'm just spoiled by always getting 1-2 day shipping on everything. These things are not sitting on a shelf in a warehouse somewhere, these are definitely packaged fresh to order. The price was also a bit higher than what I'm used to paying for strawberries. Upon delivery I was more than pleasantly surprised, any concerns I had quickly dissipated. These are FAR better than what I typically find at Lowes or local nurseries. These are well worth the little extra cost. They are big and moist with healthy green crowns. I counted 28 & 27 plants in the 2 packages of 25 that I bought, both varieties looked equally healthy. I would gladly buy from the seller "hand picked nursery" again.

Planted according to sellers instructions and baby set them indoors under LED lights.Initially 24 out of the 28 plants showed some life and green growth. After 14 days 20 survived and after 4 days of hardening of were planted outside. Will have to see if they will survive the light frost predicted in about 10 days.Update.with the weather being mild and no frost yet only 11 of the 20 new planted have survived.I am definitely disappointed with this purchase. Will probably look for another supplier next spring.
