Really bad design. This machine was $143 and I was in shock at the really poor design. It doesn’t knead your dough at a consistent rate, it pauses for a few seconds and then goes back to kneading 2 times around then stopping again, making it impossible to make your dough ball. This machine is definitely not worth the price they’re asking. I wouldn’t pay any price for it. It doesn't do anything but make a mess. It literally is a useless machine that only makes noise because it has no functionality whatsoever.

i've only used the new machine a half dozen times so far...its simple to operate and it kneads the dough with a discontinuous fairly loud circular motion...it assembles and disassembles for use and cleaning with tight positive connections...and it has 2 different style of paddles included which is what made the difference for me to select this machine.... and its made in Italy, rather than in china which i found to be refreshingly unusual....[...CORRECTION....apparently its made in china and only the name is italian-like]I took off 1 star for 2 reasons, first the screw securing the paddle to the rotating turn axle is tiny to grasp with an exceedingly fine and small machine thread...i find that screw to be very difficult to start into the socket and to clean, and very easy to lose or misplace....and second the metal dough bowl is underbuilt and not sufficiently robust...it should be thicker gauge metal and harder to bend or dent, one shouldn't have to treat it like it was made of feathers...........but it works, it kneads the dough, its a bit messy and difficult to clean but i think they are all the same as far as cleaning.

I am so happy with this dough mixer. The noise level is low and it mixes dough beautifully. I’ve only had this for a couple of weeks and I’ve made somethinglike 10 batches of yeast rolls or more! I got an amazing rise from a quadruple batch of rolls and it overflowed the bowl. I love that I don’t need to move the dough to another bowl for fermentation. The only thing that would make this better is if it had a scale built in - but placing the bowl on my kitchen scale to weigh ingredients is very easy to do. Cleanup is easy. It was easy to figure out how to use it. I’m very happy with this purchase and so is my family.

The low noise level, large bowl size and hands off convenience is wonderful. I was skeptical at first after using a KitchenAid mixer for years, but this really does a great job kneading dough. It is easy to use with the lid off, to add ingredients and clean the sides if needed. The lid allows for the first rise without moving the dough. I have made over 5 dough recipes in the first 48 hours of owning it. I am looking forward to making pasta next.

I was a little concerned about buying a dough maker with a stainless steel bowl because the ingredients go into a cold bowl to start. The instruction book was limited and did not say whether there was a warming feature during kneading. I put very hot water in the bowl and poured it out just before I added ingredients. I also covered the machine with a towel to keep the dough warm and keep out light. Kneading was a bit loud, but done well. Fermenting was slow and it required the full 90 minutes which is the default time. In the past if fermenting took too long I would put the uncovered dough in a cold oven with a pot of boiled water. I hope I won’t need to do this with this machine, and so far I haven’t. The suction cups keep it very stable while in use. Overall I am satisfied with the performance.

The kneading process was great with this unit however there was absolutely no warmth during fermentation and I had to move the dough so I didn't loose it. Fix that and it would be awesome!!!
