I have somewhat mixed feelings about this rotor guard. Firstly, carbon fiber is not the ideal material for a rotor guard because it can shatter on impact. Its not nearly as durable as steel or aluminum for this type of application. But maybe its a good thing that this part exists because there are people out there who want the lightest Surron possible and are willing to sacrifice some durability for the weight savings. This is probably more meant for racing than for general use. You'll get better protection from an aluminum rotor guard but you can't beat the weight of this one.As for fitment, I tried installing this rotor guard on my Fox 40 fork and it did not fit. It seems to only fit the stock KKE and DNM Surron forks. This is pretty annoying since the type of rider that is trying to save a few grams here and there by using carbon fiber parts will probably have an aftermarket fork. Maybe there is another fork that these will work with but it definitely doesn't fit the Fox40.Overall, I would only recommend this rotor guard for people who really need a lightweight bike. I think its probably not suitable for most riders since the carbon fiber guard will only protect your rotor once. It is highly likely to be destroyed on impact. Also, it only fits stock forks so if you have an aftermarket fork on your Surron, you may have fitment issues. Proceed with caution. But it is a well made product and looks really clean. The carbon fiber is good quality and its nice that it bolts on to a metal mount. Its not a bad part, its just not necessary for most people.
