This is a high-quality recipe box, well-made and nice-looking. The box is metal and the lid is solid, thick wood with slots to hold a cell phone and also a recipe card (to stand them up). The lid does not snap shut, but just lays on top of the box (it's fitted). Inside the box is included: 8 thin wood separators with labels that can be affixed for categorizing the recipes. There are also 80 recipe cards and 80 clear plastic sleeves to store the cards to keep them clean (if you wish). Included too are 4 cards with handy cooking tips/info. The whole set is very nice. The metal box with lid is 6-3/4 inches tall and 4 inches wide. While this is a very nice set, I do think it is a bit overpriced for a recipe box. That is my only issue with it.

Love the wooden dividers but there are only 8 of them. I need at least 12. Would like additional blank labels so I can add a couple of my own lables.

It's a wonderful product. It did come dented. I think that it because of the material being easily dented and shipping is not kind to packages.

This is a large, well made, metal recipe box. The softly colored checkerboard pattern is attractive in cream and champagne. The wooden lid is removable rather than hinged. It is grooved, allowing you to insert your recipe card so that it is readable while you are cooking or baking, a thoughtful touch. It comes complete with a large number of cardstock recipe cards to record your favorites, along with transparent sleeves to protect them from miscellaneous grease, gravy, batter, and frosting spatters. Included also are some helpful cards, one listing standard dry and liquid weight and volume conversions, and another listing both baking and cooking substitutions (in case you suddenly realize you’re out of an ingredient). There is also a recipe for delicious sounding “Scrumptious Snickerdoodles”. Finally, there are 8 slim yet very sturdy wooden recipe dividers, along with glossy labels you can add for 16 different types of recipes.As someone who didn’t record my mother’s wonderful recipes in time, I suggest that having a handwritten copy of your own recipes will not only serve you now, but would be useful and appreciated by your younger family members as well. I have a subscription to The NY Times amazing cooking app, and enjoy lots of other online recipe resources as well. But there’s something about a hard copy that just carries the vibe of the sweetness and goodness of Home! A very nice recipe box that really is worth getting.

This set comes with nice wooden dividers that are patterned like the outside of the tin. Lots of different categoried labels to put on the dividers (only wish there was a "sides" one). The cards are nice quality, not flimsy paper, and even come with protective plastic sleeves so you don't get anything on them while cooking your recipes. The lid has a groove that fits my phone for when I want to make a new recipe not yet on a card as well as a slot to hold a recipe card for easy viewing. Don't have anything negative to say about this product, it's a great find!
