JUST GOT MY COAT! I'm a 5'7" 149 lb lady and I bought LARGE to give me enough wiggle room to cover over my thick wool base layer, wool hoodie, AND my duck-down puffer coat. If you're my size, a MEDIUM would fit you comfortably if you are not layering as heavily as I do. We'll be dog sledding in minus 40 degree Fahrenheit weather and THIS coat should do the trick according to the other Reviews. Note: it is a VERY stiff canvas-like material - so if you're expecting fluid soft movement, get something else... I wanted a super WARM coat strong enough to withstand a team of dogs jumping all over me and NOT shredding it!) This coat hits me just below the knees, so my legs should be warm - I hate cold legs. Maybe the coat will soften up with lots of use perhaps? I'll post again AFTER my trip to Alaska to let you know whether this coat is good in -47 F degree temps. It's a good-lookin' coat on me.

Sturdy and very warm. Long enough to shield the thighs from wind. It's like wearing an impermeable tent, I feel very protected from wind and winter. The outer shell fabric is a bit stiff, but I expect that it will relax with wear. After reading the reviews about the sizing, I had decided that since as XL is usually my size (6 ft tall and about 200 lbs), I ordered 2X to have enough roominess. I am pleased that 2X for me it turned out to indeed be roomy enough for wearing thick sweaters under it.This coat replaces my old parka that lasted decades. This Refrigerwear coat seems sturdy enough to also last decades.

Bought the jacket a few months back but waited to write a review till "real" winter set. Wore it out this week when it was -50 outside and this kept me warm. So full points for that. The jacket is very bulky though and difficult to move or sit wearing it. So taking out a star for that.

Was definitely warm for sure, but way too bulky and unwielding and decided to return for refund.

If you are buying this you should probably understand that this is a very industrial jacket which means it fulfils 3 purposes:- It's inexpensive- It's warm- It wears like ironThis means you have to understand the advantages and disadvantages:- Its very durable but to gain that durability for this price point the materials used are very stiff so it's not comfortable to wear casually (the arms are very stiff... Not climbing anything in these)- It's meant for freezer work which is mostly standing around in the cold and not reaching overhead (where the stiff and cut don't matter)- It's relatively cheap for the warmth - This means that the cut and seams are not tailored. My girlfriend noticed on of the arms seems shorter than the other and the sleeves are a bit short on a Large. If the sleeves were a but longer I would give a higher review... It's does exactly what is was designed to do, just be aware for anyone not in an industrial environment it may not be worth the trade-offs.

Surprisingly good product. It does require layers, of course, to be really warm, but I tested in extreme winter conditions of -16C and strong winds and was very comfortable with it. It is a bit stiff, but that keeps it warm. One warning: the sizes are on the small side. I chose Medium, which ought to have been plenty large for me, but it is barely adequate.Quality of manufacture also appears to be good. I have used it all winter-long by now and am happy with the purchase.

Ordered this for my husband and we both love it! It is without a doubt the warmest coat he has ever had. It is so warm that I use it when I take the dog out. It goes to my knees, but when it's -30 I don't care, I am warm! The hood is one of its best features. I don't know why others don't have a design like this. Today the wind is blowing at 40 mph and the wind didn't come through the front of the hood. My husband loves that feature when he is snow blowing because the snow stays out too. The zipper is plastic, not metal as shown in the photos, but it is a heavy duty one and easy to zip. I wish they made this coat in women's sizes. If you are looking to stay warm this is the one you want. I ordered the moss green and it's a lot lighter than shown, not my favorite, but again it's so warm and well designed I don't care.

(I live in Edmonton, Alberta) This is a decent parka for moderately cold weather but I cannot recommend it for places that get very cold or cold and windy. The hood is warm but very small and you cannot hide from the wind in it. It's so small, if you have a pompom on your toque, you'll have to cut it off. You will want face protection in very cold weather.

I bought the 0360R model, size Large. For someone about 5.10", 200 lbs, it should fit perfect, not tight and not baggy. Lenght wise it almost reaches the knees by about 3-4 inches, must be Large/Large. I thought this was black, but it's actually dark navy blue, it looks "black" from a few feet away. This jacket looks good, but maybe if someone were to get one size bigger than needed it might look too baggy and goofy, you don't want that.Wearing it out of the packaging box it felt "slighthly stiff" since it was brand new, but nothing incovenient, it's actually very very comfortable while wearing and the hood feels soft and warm on the head, the deep big pockets are also very comfortable. As someone brought up in some other review, this jacket is not packable, it's like any other jacket or coat that you hang and grab and wear as you need, you can't put this inside a regular backpack. I bought this for very chilly to snowy weather, so far I have not test it in those conditions, but if it's able to withstand -40 fahrenheit, I'm glad I have this as backup for such extreme conditions, better prepared than be sorry.Only "cons" found so far: Zipper does not go all the way down, it has 1 button on the bottom that needs to be closed, 2 might have been better, when you reach down to tie your shoes or grab something on the floor that button opens up, nothing serious, just close it again. The hood has a slight "plastic like" sound, probably from the inner insulation, again, nothing serious, does not affect hearing nor performance.

Very warm. It is new and very stiff at this time. I imagine it will loosen up with time. Zipper does not run full length and that is nice for when you sit down. Would be nice if it had a inside chest pocket. The hand warming pockets are great. They are nice and deep so when you take your gloves off and put them in there they are not going to fall out. Not the most fashionable parka but very functional. Mine was made in China. I was given the impression this was a "made in USA product"
