I use these plates to help mount magnetic lights around my home, and for other uses as well. These are perfect for various uses.

These are substantial mending plates and they get the job done. Certainly thick enough. Nothing fancy. They're galvanized. Can't find a fault.

I have ordered the 12 pieces 80 x 40 mm metal bracket mending plate in silver. The plates are made of heavy duty metal with 2mm thickness and seem strong to be used for normal wood works such as shelf or cabinet support, connecting wood joints and wall mounting etc. Each metal plate has 8 pre-punched holes with diameter of 5mm that allow a quick installation with screws or nails. I use these plates to enhance the support of my wooden trellis as some original screws and nails start to loosen and have slight displacement. These mending plates are heavy duty and durable. They are easy to apply on DIY projects to enhance stronger support and stability. The result is satisfactory and is recommended.

In my PC gaming/man cave/spare bedroom I have a 7.1.4 surround sound system. My latest addition is adding some tactile transducers to the bed. If you don't know what those are think rumblers in video game controllers but to the next level. A lot of actual theaters have them under the seating. They greatly add to the immersion of games and movies. They're also nice for getting the feel of major bass but without the noise of it. So you can still use them late at night without bothering the fam. Unfortunately one of the shakers is behind the headboard which is separate from the base. So I needed something to join the two. These plates have worked out perfectly to help transfer the vibrations as it all feels better when it's all one solid unit. These plates are quite strong. The only thing I can think of to complain about is I wish the screw holes were tapered so screws could be countersunk flush. But that's not really a big deal. So I'm quite happy with these.

At about $1/plate, these are priced a little better than similar ones in my local home improvement stores. Because of this, I was expecting them to be thinner or otherwise compromised in some fashion. This was not the case. They are thick and sturdy, and I wouldn't hesitate to trust them in any role I'd normally use this size mending plate for. (I tend to put these on "not fancy" home projects. You know, the ugly stuff built out of 2x4s, and plywood to get a job done, never collapse, but also not be seen in polite company. Example: My sim-racing rig is ugly as sin, but stiffer than all but the highest-end models you can buy.)If you're a hobbyist (at best) woodworker like me, keeping little problem-solvers like this around in the toolbox is a must-do. I can recommend this brand.

We are doing some building work and wanted something to increase the security of our framing. Being that this is going to be a project that will have a rough life these were the perfect choice. They come as a dozen 3+" by 1 1/2" rectangles. There are 8 holes for attaching. These things are quite thick so will not easily bend. They can be placed in a vice and hammered into the shape that you need. They did the job for us and we are pleased with them.

Very rigid and well made. No burrs on the holes in the metal and a good finish.

I picked these out to help make a table more sturdy. They’re solid and definitely work well.
