First off, I'm a first time purchaser of a Revgear product. These pads are great. Would've been greater if they had that extra strap for the upper forearm area, but it still doesn't warrant a return. The problem I have with Revgear is the customer service when I was trying to purchase matts from their official website. They looked good on paper/the site, but I had to call for pricing. When I called, some lady answered and asked some probing questions very rudely and then transferred me to a voicemail. I left a voicemail, waited a day, but never got a call back. I called a second time, and a gentlemen answered. He was cool and professional when asking probing questions, and then transferred me to the same voicemail. I decided not to leave a voicemail that time. I waited a few hours again and I called a third time, and the same condescending "i-got-1st world problems-lady" answered and put me on hold until I had to hang up and call a FOURTH time. This time, the professional gentlemen answered and explained that they are a small, family-owned business and that they are short on staff. Well, I know exactly how that is since I help run a short-staffed, family-owned business, but if a business is going to post their 1-800 number on a WORLD WIDE WEBSITE and asks their prospective customers to call for pricing, they should be expecting a lot of calls and not act like that lady who sounded like she didn't want to be there. I'll keep the pads for now, but not purchasing any more products from Revgear moving forward. It's unfortunate because there are a few martial artists that I'm a fan of that use/sponsored by Revgear. I went with Fuji matts instead. One of the owners of Fuji Matts even took the time to send a genuine thank you email for my purchase and another staff member sent me a different email to follow-up on shipment. Now that's what I call customer service. Sorry Revgear, but i'll be "swiping left" on your products moving forward.

I happen to like most Revgear products even though Rival is my favorite. However, with that said, these are really good Thai pads. Yes, it would be good if had an extra strap, but they are short so I can understand why there would not be one. Here are a few things you need to know. The first is if you have long arms your elbow will be exposed. If you have short arms, mine are 64 inches your perfectly covered. This is not an issue as long as the kicker knows how to kick. If not, just tell them to go slow so you don’t end up with a broken elbow. They are NOT traditional Thai pads in that they are super long. This means two things. A) they are lighter which I really like. However , B) that means if you get someone that kicks really hard be prepared to absorb the impact. One thing I really love is the kicker will appreciate they are not bricks. No, they are not pillows you will feel it but not like traditional Thai pads where you come back with black and blue on your shins.Pros:very lightEasy to maneuver for Jab, cross, hook, uppercut, kicksPretty comfortableNot too hard for the kickerConstructed well they will not fall apartConsHeavy hitters you will feel impactCustomer service is difficult to reach but they are helpful once you reach them.Who they are for:If buying this because you are doing traditional Muay Thai run away. The kicker will love em but after 15 min holding them of non stop kicks you will be like enough already. If you are getting these to have the client or friend hitting them practice a combo of punches and kicks meaning lots of punches, some knees, Elbows, Teeps, round kick basically a MMA training this is perfect. I can’t compare these to others like Fairlex which is the holy grail from what I understand but on a scale of 1-10 of how much I like them I’m giving them a solid 8.

Dear Amazon,Pair means two or in a group of 2. False description, as product said sold as pair. I was hoping the other guy was a rare mistake when amazon send him a single pad, but nope they got me too. How utterly disappointing. Too damn expensive as one pad, returning now and a waste of time. Thanks amazon, not!!!

I just got the box and it only contained one pad, not two. The title of the product says 'pair', and the product review section says 'sold as pair'. Would not recommend buying from this provider. Now I have to return the item, very disappointing.
