We have a trip planned so I ordered this storage bag for the roof top and it arrived defected. The seal on the flap that keeps the zipper covered fell apart the second it came out of the bag. I have the Rhino rack platform with backbone system which is also so I thought naturally their other products would be just as solid. I was really disappointed with this luggage bag.

This is a rock solid rack bag. It has quality straps and zippers. Seals well and is weatherproof. I would definitely buy again.

The strap has a cover which ripped as we put it on the car. Returned.

We installed roof rack and used this for a recent family trip to NC. It rained off and on the entire trip and our suitcases were dry upon arrival!

this is the only bag that is long enopugh for my thing and not as wide that it will dominate the entire roof rack.

If you have a lot of stuff you need to haul on the roof of a car (actually, it better be a big SAV), this is a good choice. Lots of room inside, but it is very easy to overload, which then makes it pretty impossible to lift into place on the roof...so you have to load it IN PLACE on the roof. Once you get it loaded the zippers helps cinch the load down, but the two side cinch straps and the cinch straps at the front & rear of the bag are somewhat difficult to tighten due to the strap-clip configuration. And when you're up off the ground the whole process is not hard, but it is tedious. Good news: we just finished a 2,000 mile trip and the bag held up really well. It's a tough piece of equipment & we'll definitely use it again on longer trips, even though getting it loaded & unloaded is time consuming. We secured it to a Rhino Rack platform so our weight capacity is significantly more than a standard SAV rack system & that worked very well.
