Spring is on the way here and I can't wait to set these up along the top railing of our porch that looks out over a river. I will fill them with soil and plant flowers for the hummingbirds who frequent our feeders. This will be the perfect touch of color. They appear to be sturdy and well made, easy to use. With good drainage watering can be done better. Good value for the money.

I haven't had much success with coco liners for sometime now. I haven't found ones that are thick enough or uniform in shape as there are a lot of thin spots and, for some reason, one side is higher than the other and they just don't hold up in the planter. I found the liners push thru the ribs of the planter as soon as dirt is added so I had to line the planter with chicken wire just to hold the coco liner in place. Almost gave up on planting them until I spotted these felt ones. These are thick, the sides are even and I think even taller than the liners I've been using, and they stand up well with nothing in them. I'm confident these will hold up much better in my planters, hopefully to the point that I can remove the chicken wire. Unfortunately, it'll be awhile before I actually get around to planting these since we're still buried in a lot of snow here in the western U.P.. I do wish they'd offer a color similar to the coco liners as I like being able to see the pattern of the metal planters and all that is lost when it's black on black. Maybe I'll try putting these liners inside a coco liner to give the contrast I'm looking for. Otherwise I'm all for these as I'm growing more and more disappointed in the coco liners these days. If they work I'd definitely buy more but I'm hoping these have a longer life span where I won't need anymore for a while.

Excellant quality and functionality. I love how deep they are and they fit perfect in my planter boxes. They allow for excess drainage as well as keep plants moist.

I used these with cocoa liners inside them to double up on the moisture retention AND to keep the darn birds from pulling the cocoa liners apart. They fit well (I have curved planters and these are really made for square ones, my bad for not seeing that but a little fold in the bottom fixed that problem) and the cocoa liners just peek out over the top. These so far have helped a bunch on both the amount of water AND the bird demolition. They seem really sturdy, and they are very well made and evenly cut.

These work but not worth it for me for the price. You still need to purchase the metal or plastic planter boxes, so the cost of having these porch hanging flower beds adds up quickly. But these are sturdy, are a good size, don't need to be assembled so easy to assemble, and are easy to transport plants in/ move your garden around.

I love the planter boxes on my deck railing, but I don't love the coco mat liners. They are in really rough shape at this point after a couple of years, just due to time and also due to birds pulling for nests. They also do nothing to hold in any water, it runs right through like a colander. I saw these and they seem like a much better alternative. The walls of these felt liners are also thinner than a coco liner, so the amount of dirt in the same planter will be much more, which seems to be a good thing! Coco mats also tend to 'slouch' and don't hold up in general. I sure hope this helps slow the flow out of water.....I'm debating putting some plastic liner in the bottom also. On a hot day, with the water running through after watering, a planter can be completely dry in one day or less. I'm hopeful this will be better and also will have a more polished look. Looking forward to setting these up this summer.

These plant liners are thick and sturdy and durable. The color is black which looks nice in planter boxes. It should hold quite a bit of dirt. I have 24" planters and these were too wide for them so I cannot use them in those but I am hoping to build some planter boxes for our deck this year so I can use them in those. Helps prevent dirt from spilling out and keeps roots in while allowing water to run through.

These 24"x8"x8" liners were exactly what I was looking for! I have window boxes that then have a galvanized inner liner; in the past this meant adding stone to the bottom to ensure drainage and then soil, leading to having to separate them out at the end of the season. No more! These liners fit perfectly and will keep soil in while letting water drain away.Liners are made of very thick felt; I use lots of other "grow bags" on my property, but these liners have some of the thickest/best quality felt I've come across. Stitching is also very close/thorough, making them plenty sturdy. They should hold up well and last for quite a few seasons.Given the good quality of these liners I'm already thinking about purchasing more and using them elsewhere; for instance, each year I plant a short row of dahlias alongside a few trees; tree roots inevitably creep in making lifting the dahlias more of a task. While these might not keep all roots out for forever, they might help create a nice little in-ground trough for planting as well, adding a bit of separation. I'm interested to see how they would hold up...Clearly I'm pleased with the quality and utility of these felt liners; I think you'll like them too!
