The Ridgid 26643 has a pleated design with a greater surface area that resists clogging more than the competition. Fits the Ridgid 4 gallon portable pro vac - WD4050, which was replaced with the WD4070 (sold separately).

The RIDGID 26643 3-Layer Fine Filter for Wet/Dry Vacuums is a needed for the shop. The filtration quality is excellent, capturing even the finest dust particles and leaving my workspace significantly cleaner. Installation is simple, and it fits perfectly with my wet/dry vacuum. I prefer using the official RIDGID brand for replacements because their filters last much longer than others I've tried. For anyone looking to enhance their vacuum's performance and longevity between filter replacements, this is the one for you.

I have used Generic filters in the past and I find that if they get exposed to moisture (or if you try to wash them as they claim you can) they get a nasty smell when they dry and your vacuum stinks when using it. I gave up on two generic ones with the stink and poor fitment and went back to Rigid. I'm very happy I did because it's a much better fitting filter for only a few dollars more.Don't cheap out and get the real deal.

Works for my WD4070 just fine! Fits like a glove and now I am able to continue cleaning things. I had to buy a replacement because I used the vacuum to suck up water and left the filter on after I was done.You are supposed to take it out and allow it to dry after vacuuming water. I did not know this, and hence this purchase. Also, if your vacuum feels weaker than normal, then STOP using it. It is probably choking on your old and dirty filter. Replace the filter and buy a new one such as this. You do not want to burn out the motor by making the motor breathe through a straw (clogged filter).Anyways, this filter came in on time, and was easy to switch out, and reasonably priced. Will buy again. Very convenient!
