I tested this out on my mainstream brand "surface conditioning tool". It mounted fine and felt just fine. It is a really strong abrasive wheel that can be used to strip paint, rust, or powder coat. It runs well with proper balance, no deformities or asymmetries.

These are great wheels that do a good job removing old paint from large, basically flat areas. They wear a long time and don't load up and fit my machine perfectly.

Great for stripping paint or rust. Durable but they do break down quickly over material that is not flat.

This drawing wheel is made from the same material as the surface prep wheels I have used on my grinder. It makes fast work of removing paint, rust, etc., from flat surfaces. It wears faster if the surface is really rough, so I like to make a pass with a wire brush first. The wheel wears much faster if the surface has significant irregularities, such as protruding nuts and bolts. The randomized pattern of the abrasive grit on the wheel helps to limit deep grooves or marking on a metal surface. That makes this a good first step in stripping metal of rust or paint before polishing.

These work great, and they fit my harbor freight surface finisher tool. My local store always seems to be out of stock on this grit, and it's the one I use most often. I use it for cleaning up rusty metal, and for cleaning up the surface on peeled logs for making log furniture. They just work and leave a nice finish. They do wear out pretty quickly especially when used on very rough contoured surfaces which tend to wear a grove in them. All in all it eats rust and paint very fast and leave a nice clean surface all ready for finishing.
