Edit from 5 stars to 1 stars.First let me state the sub well built and is of quality workmanship. The critical issue with the Power T1 12in subwoofer is it is EXTREMELY OVERPRICED. There are many lowered priced subwoofers with equivalent performance elsewhere. As well as sub-woofers with better performance than at the same price level of the T1. Even when comparing the T1 to only to the rest of Rockford Fosgates sub lineup you will reach the same conclusion. Compare the specs, listen to them if you are able to, but DO NOT BUY this particular offering from Rockford Fosgate. There is no basis or reasonable justification for the pricing other than they needed a placeholder for price tier level between the P3 12s and 1k$ power T2. Even Diehard loyal RF brand fans (formerly including myself) SHOULD BUY THE P3 WHICH WAS REDRESSED AS THE POWER T1. Complete rippoff and shameful business decision by RF. Dont become the next victim of Rockfords selling gold-plated bars as solid gold type scheme.believe half of what you see and none of what you hear. If you are looking for some serious bass, this the product for you. When I purchased this item I had two 12 inch Kicker C subwoofers connected to a single 1000w mono amp and thought that was loud. Adding a second 1000w mono amp to give each Subwoofer 1000w each instead of sharing 1000w completely blew my ears away. It's been roughly 7 months of ownership and I would suggest these to any "basshead" who wants "Power" with their bass.

I took 2 weeks playing it at 4 ohms for the break in period, after that I switched it to 1 ohm and it was significantly louder, after about a month now I'd say its fully broken in, Hits harder then i expected and makes my hair stand up, it is very clear also.

This sub is a beast! I bought one and have it hooked up to a Pioneer amp wired at 1 ohm to get 800 watts rms. It's in a ported box and it pounds. One of my friends has two MTX subs rated at 1100 watts rms and a lot of my friends say my one rockford fosgate sub (800 watts rms) hits way harder and sounds a lot better. If I would have had enough money I would have bought two. This is a must have for audio fanatics. A little expensive but way worth it!

I am a fan of Rockford Fosgate amplifiers; I always have been. I've been putting together a system and really wanted to stick with one brand so I started out with a P3 12 inch sub and true to the Rockford speaker reputation it went up in a cloud of smoke. I decide to replace it with the T1 12 and I was blown away by the sound quality and the production of clean sounding deep bass. I would definitely recommend spending the extra money on the power series over the punch line! I was debating on whether to go with the most expensive sub (T2) or just switch back to Kicker or JL, but I'm very glad I chose this sub it sounds amazing and it seems to handle the power much better than these other brands.

i Just hooked this bad boy in a new install on an 03 Lancer to a older RF power bd1000a1 which putts out 500 watts @ 4 ohm and this sud hits hard for those watts. I consider it a good amp for the subs break in period but plan to upgrade to T1000bdcp this summer.Solid amp and love RF products, i dont run anything else. I bought this sub brand new in July of 2011. After being used in the recommended slotted box and run by the T500-1BD amp it has started to die (loose/broken parts near voice coil, sounds scratchy). Rockford Fosgate offers a year warranty but after that you are screwed. They told me I could send the sub in and get half off retail ($450) to replace it. Which is not worth it as I can replace the sub for $235. I have blown a few other rockford fosgate subs (p1 and p3) and have discovered these subs do not last. It is not right that a subwoofer paired with an amp in the same class and by the same manufacturer and run at recommended settings would break. Decided to get a JL 12w6 v2, do not get this subwoofer if you want something that will last more than a year.
