Good fit and it definitely helps with the hustle of having to fight the chain hooks to come loose on any heavy duty Ford Truck. So far it’s been good lets see how long it'll last!!

The product is great but there are no instructions included. I am a trucker so it was easy for me to install. You might want to rethink not having any instructions. Look it up on the internet if you can't figure it out.

This is exactly what we needed for our safety chains on our new travel trailer,. To be very well built and durable.

It's not much of a deal but is it too much to ask for simple instructions?! I have never used hammerlock couplings so I had to watch a video before installing to know how to do it. It's very simple so is it that hard to include simple instructions? They could just be pictures, like Ikea, so there's no translation issues!Anyway, just pull the pin out to separate the two halves, put each half on what you want to connect, put the pin retainer lock in between the 2 reconnected halves, push the pin back in and hammer it in until it's flush. You may choose to install the rubber anti-rattle accessories before or after install. These are seemingly heavy duty and appear to be as tough as their 12k lbs. rating. I'll only know for sure if my trailer comes detached and the safety chains hooked to these remain intact. I really like that they included the anti-rattle rubber accessories. So far I'm very pleased.

I have one of the draw hitches that has the small openings for attaching breakaway chains. I never understood that. But, I have tried a few things to make it easier to hook breakaway chains up. These fit the bill better than most things I have tried. The little rubber shock absorber things they came with didn't stay on long, but I am not worried about those. It was a little difficult to get them installed, you have to drive the center pin through a slip collar while the connector is on the truck. I didn't have anything good to back up the connector, so my hits were not as effective as they shoulda been, but I got them both on. First trailer I hooked up to has the big clip chain hooks, and they slid right on, no issues, way easier than they ever did on the place on my hitch.

I hated trying to get the trailer safety chain hooks over the flat metal holes in our trailer hitch. It was a pain having to angle the hooks to slide on or off the hitch. I came across these connectors and figured I'd give them a try. They were a bit of a pain getting the pins hammered in, but other than that they worked out great. Attaching the safety chain hooks are a lot easier and faster now. The rubber insulators silence any clanking or clunking when they bounce around while driving down the road. So far I am happy with these safety chain connectors.

Works great for my travel trailer’s safety chain hooks. Eliminates the frustration and risk of damage, & replacement of my chain hooks. Followed a suggestion by others and used a floor jack and a block of wood to support the device while hammering the pin through the spring collar. Using a regular claw hammer, only took about 5 or 6 strikes for each. If I ever need to remove from my truck, I’ll drill a hole in the wood block and drive the pin out of the spring collar with a punch. To prevent loss of the rubber isolators, I secured them in place with a couple small zip ties each.
