The poncho material is light weight, but not too thin. It can be reused. The grommits for tie down are metal, and seemed to be built in well. It will swallow an adult whole, as it is large- can be used to cover a backpack and a person at the same time. I bought it for my dad, he likes it, but he says he'd still like a thicker one.

Comes with a water proof drawstring bag so can be folded up to fit compactly into any camping backpack. Or purse/globe box etc.. wherever you intend to use it's a great item to have on hand. Drawstring hoody works great. Certainly beats an umbrella where you'll have to tie up one hand holding. Definitely worth buying. Great price

I have to wear raingear a lot in my occupation. Rain-suits don't breath and you may wind up sweating so much that you may as well be in the rain but, this poncho is great even for bigger guys like me. Its one flaw is that the area around the buttons could use some reinforcing. I haven't broken or torn anything yet but I can feel how flimsy the poncho is around the buttons.

It's a bit on the thin side, so watch it pulling the snaps apart as they are stiff.
