We have thoroughly enjoyed this piece of office furniture. It fit nicely in our den without looking like office furniture. Our printer fit perfectly on the top and the drawers are perfect for our home filing needs. It is easy to put together and all the parts fit perfectly, no issues. It is sturdy as well. We found it to be perfect for our needs and the value of the piece of furniture was well worth it.

This cabinet exceeded my expectations. If you don’t look too closely, it looks like a nice piece of furniture and the file drawer is well designed and opens/closes smoothly. There are a lot of parts to assemble but you only need a small hammer and a screwdriver. The instructions are EXCELLENT. It took me about 4 hours to assemble the cabinet, including breaks but everything went well. This cabinet is a great value and looks nice too.

TLDR: THIS LOOKS AMAZING and is SUPER STURDYI purchased the matching L-desk prior to this and really liked the look so I decided to get the companion file cabinet. This thing weighs in around 100 lbs and is VERY sturdy. It took about an hour to assemble, but having put together similar furniture just a few days prior I had the methodology for Sauder assembly mastered. I would recommend that you assemble this very near to where you would like to place it because as I said, it is HEAVY. The only thing that I found VERY SLIGHTLY disappointing was the shelf size, however it was clearly stated in the listing. I chose not to put in the shelf on one side to put some larger items in. I think Sauder would provide a huge benefit if a standard binder could be stood up in the top compartment without the shelves installed. I understand that this would lead to an increase in size/weight/cost. I was pleasantly surprised that the cabinet has a lock on the side to lock the drawer, I don't remember seeing that in the listing so I was happy

Bought this piece because the top surface was large enough to support a Brother MFC L8900 printer for a home office. Construction is particle board and composite with veneer. Finished product is solid (and heavy). Configurable storage shelves for printer paper and lateral file cabinet are a plus. Assembly documentation was clear and straightforward. Recommend verifying parts list after opening! I had to contact Customer Service regarding a single damaged plastic/metal locking fastener and found their response to be above average: while Sauder sent a pair of replacement parts via USPS, the rep softened the blow by providing a workaround that would allow me to complete assembly until the part arrived, and easily retrofit the part. A prior reviewer recommended Sauder go back to an all-metal design for the fastener, and I agree.

I am incredibly disappointed in the quality of this cabinet overall. The drawer does not close all the way. The front panel of it is held on by only one screw in the middle of the bottom and it completely pulls off every time I open it. We are going to have to go to the hardware store and buy brackets to reinforce it and hold the front of the drawer on before we put anything in the drawers. The look of it is nice and the panels are better quality than most, but the design is VERY POOR. If I could send it back, I would.

Great product. Nice filing cabinet. Works perfectly in our small den because we didn’t need or want a desk but wanted to be able to file documents.

Great piece of furniture, fairly easy to assemble. We have 2 of the corner desks (420474), and love this style and color. The 'wood' is multi-tone, so when it beings to get damaged it will be easy to color in with furniture pens and make the wound disappear. The one weirdness with this item is that the specs show (and in fact, it is) about 3/4 inch taller than the desk. If your intention is to set this directly next to the desk, it will look a bit funny. We have this between the desks and there is about 10" between each item, so the symmetry makes it look OK... but still mystifying why matching pieces would not be the same height. We bought this to use as a printer stand and also for storage. We have a large multi-function Cannon printer, and because this is oversized for a printer stand, it makes the printer look more normal sized. There is a (less expensive) printer stand also, but we decided this was a better fit for us and we're quite happy with it.One disappointment is the weight limit on the file drawer. The hinges are beefy, but the floor of the drawer isn't quite strong enough. It is reinforced, but only once back to front. Hence, you can fit an entire stack of paper on either end of the drward without being anywhere near of the support strut. The file hangers can probably hold more weight because the 'walls' are strong, but the spec is something like 20 pounds. A file drawer that size needs to spec'ed for 50, at least. My intent was to use it to hold my variety of paper, labels, etc. for easy access when printing, but I had to select a subset and I'm only using about 1/4th of the drawer. C'mom Sauder... paper is heavy whether it's hanging in a file or sitting on the bottom of the drawer.
