Connection instruction:
1. red = + 5 Volt INPUT
2. black = - 5 volts INPUT
3. white = SIGNAL output (return to the controller to indicate the chosen speed)
Notice:
If the thumb throttle does not work, the following conditions may occur
1. The plug is not plugged in tightly: if it does not work, please check whether the plug is plugged in tightly, if it is not plugged in tightly, it will not work
2. The line sequence is different: When purchasing a waterproof plug, please check whether the line sequence of the thumb throttle is the same as that of the controller used, if not, it will not work. The SM plug can change its line sequence, if it cannot be used, you can change its line sequence (note that the WP plug cannot change the line sequence, so you need to look carefully before placing an order)
3. The display gear is in 0 gear: Please check whether the throttle gear in the display is in 0 gear when using it. If it is in 0 gear, it will not work.

I plugged this into my Hiboy scooter. It didn't work. then I took it apart and took the thumb part out and found that the metal magnet in it was just turned the incorrect way. then it worked. weird

I was able to convert a twist style throttle to this thumb type very easily. The stock twist throttle was hard on my arthritic wrist. Pin connectors were identical on both type throttles. I also had to replace shorter grip with a longer style to accommodate new throttle.

Do not buy, does not work The plug is right you push the thumb throttle and nothing happens. You get what you pay for!

HeyBikes are notorious for becoming dangerous and driving off on their own. This part will fix a MARS 2.0 with the Error Code 22 issue where the bike takes off on its own and can't be stopped. HeyBike wanted to charge me $20 for the part when the bike was only 4 months old and still under warranty.

Glad I can take a break from peddaling, throttle helps a lot when I need to just coast. Although it works as intended and I don't pin this on the throttle itself, every bike is different. I get throttle lag and a speed cap from the bike, not the throttle. Also beware that using throttles can really lower a battery's life span and you won't get as a many miles out of a bike when using it, some battery's aren't meant for constant throttle. And there's no in between with this throttle, either you're cut off or you're full power which is probably why my battery drains quick. it's a let down for sure. But it does work and it takes the load off when you need it. Other bikes may benefit more from the throttle that are more meant for throttle only riding.
