I have used similar cables to make superior jumper cables for my car and truck, and I got these for a long (20') cable for my boat. These are nice clamps, and they come with heavy copper terminal ends that double as one of the jaws in each clamp - this makes the connection direct with no loss from resistance of other connections. It took a little effort and a small flat blade screwdriver to get the jaw/terminal end under the spring that holds it in place, but once you learn to do one the rest are easier. I said they are strong - my wife took both hands to squeeze them open - but that is great to ensure a good connection and to keep them from slipping off the battery terminals.

These are awesome clamps they're just a pain in the ass to try to install other than that they seem to be working great thank you very much
