Today, for my 2005 Hyundai Tucson, 2.7L I installed the Starter by the SCITOO Store, and I suspect that was my starting issue, as it turned over and started today fast. My experience (Safety first. Put your car in park and set the parking brake. Have a phone handy and don't work alone if you can avoid it): One of the first things I do before buying a part is research the normal price, whether it's available locally, and before installing is eat, dress appropriately in old clothes, grab the expected various tools, gloves, some dielectric grease, anti-seize paste, paper towels, and a trashcan. Then I disconnect the battery - I think you disconnect the neg. terminal first, as if you ground out the neg. terminal, nothing happens, and then since it's disconnected, when you're disconnecting the pos terminal, if you touch metal with the wrench, it doesn't throw sparks and heat, as there isn't a path of electrons THROUGH THE BATTERY. Next, I put down a big piece of cardboard, and spray penetrating fluid on the starter bolt and nut. On my Tucson, this would be a difficult job, but I've done it before, so I know how to do it. And so I knew I'd have to get the starter past the exhaust, by removing it from the engine, but I changed out the exhaust pipe 2 years ago, and put high temp anti-seize on the bolts, so they weren't hard to get out. Once you take the 2 exhaust bolts out, a silver high temp gasket will / may fall down, so don't forget to put it back before installing those bolts through the gasket holes, by trying to hold it in place, as you reinstall the bolts later. There's a small nut and 2 10mm bolts that hold a heat shield on around the starter. Spray those with penetrant and remove all 3. Then, to get the heatshield out, you have to lift it from the bolt stud, and pry and twist it different ways while pulling down on the exhaust pipe, to squeeze it by. Be patient and you'll get it. Then undo the bolt and nut holding the starter in. Then bolt goes in from 1 side, and the nut on the other side. Look at your new starter if it's not obvious. Sometime soon, you have to disconnect the battery cable from the starter, and it's under a rubber boot. Look at your new starter to see the location and get the correct wrench / socket / ratchet extension. Besides a willingness to work, the right tools often make the difference. I had to use probably a 10mm, 11mm, 12mm, and 14mm on the total job. As you take the old starter out, note the order you do it. If something if hard, maybe you're doing it in a bad order. Happened to me today, and I had to take a bolt or two out, once I learned that. Keep your nuts, bolts and such in a magnetic tray. And hand tighten all nuts and bolts, and don't tighten 1 nut or bolt completely until all the related ones are threaded in. After getting the new starter in, check to make sure you've done everything under the car, then reconnect the battery when you're sure it's safe to do so - Connect in the reverse order - Connect the pos. terminal first, then the neg last. Use dielectric grease on the starter and battery terminals, to prevent corrosion and make connections easier. While under my car, I took the time to wipe the biggest traces of oil from my engine. A cleaner engine is easier to see if it has a leak and where it's coming from.

Not sure why easy to install is a start rating. Mine was a pain in the ass but that was due to car design. This part works great so far and for less money by far then any other place. Installed in a 2006 tuscon. Been 2 months so far.

I purchased this product in November. Hired a professional to install the product and I am having to purchase a new started at the end of January. I don't recommend this product or company that manufacturers this product.

Starter installed on 2003 Sonata with minor difficulty. Worst part was the finagling of the factory installed starter heat shield without taking off the exhaust. Starter worked first time after installation.

Would have been nice if it had come with the stud and nut but it never Said it would so all good. It factory replaced just fine and worked right away. Hope it continues for many more years to come.
