Devilish Blends of Fender Dimensions and PAF Power At times, the modest output of a Telecaster single-coil can struggle to saturate an amp or cut quite like a humbucker. Billy Gibbons and Seymour Duncan’s solution is the Red Devil for Tele! The Red Devil is a high-output vintage-voiced humbucker conveniently sized for the bridge pickup slot of most Telecaster guitars! The Red Devil pickup began with Billy’s affinity for Seymour Duncan’s Pearly Gates PAF humbuckers. The Red Devil brings PAF qualities to your Telecaster for sizzling fuel for cutting leads, pinch harmonics, saturated crunch, and beyond. Seymour Duncan carefully voices the Red Devil’s Alnico V magnet to help drive saturation and breakup that hits harder than the average vintage PAF. Moreover, Sweetwater’s pickup pros were thrilled to discover the Red Devil retains much of that iconic Tele twang that humbuckers usually wouldn’t be able to duplicate. Red Dirt pickups feature

I have run through every variable in the known guitar universe to get this to wire in, and work correctly. New switches, new wiring, new pots, new pairing pickups. Some things I went through multiple times trying to get this red devil to work correctly.I have forums, internet, original, and modified schematics, and even a former pro tech that has guided me through this nightmare.Nothing has worked. This is my first telecaster build and I absolutely hate that I decided on this pickup. 3 months of parts orders, swaps, headaches and money spent/wasted.I will NEVER buy one of these again. Maybe it was just a bad pickup to begin with? Factory dud?No matter, it’s dissuaded me from ever purchasing a Duncan again for ANY of my builds!
